I like these kind of videos, when someone invests in your and your channel and watches everything you produce, then abit of waffle and updating is good. Great video, looks a lovely lake. What strength line do you use on this lake, as I have similar challenges? Also I was surprised you didn't put the weigh sling under the carp to help transport from water to the mat. Just an idea
If the net is rolled up like I had done then it offers just as much support and protection as a sling. As long as the fins are tucked in its fine :) I used 15lb straight though
