hi judy. saw one experiment in facebook where they tried different things to add in the water to keep the chrstmas tree fresh..the one that yielded the best result is watering your tree with sprite/ soda. apparently the sugar content of it is enough to 'feed' your tree for a few weeks. try it next time so you can have your tree until the end of the holiday season..
I thought it was Filipino to keep Christmas decor up until New years even after it to keep that festivity feel in the house...... so sad it was taken down early!
