Oh Jazer, I need exactly this video!!!! I'm learning the Piano since 10 weeks and my biggest problem is exactly the different volumes from both hands. Actually, my project is Nuvole bianche from Einaudi. I love it really much. Now I can play nearly the whole piece, but I realized the problem about the different volumes, I still couldn't play. Last days I tried so much to do this different, but without success. And now, your video is my answer. It's hard to learn, but your tips are as gold! Now I know, how to practice the different volume for both hands! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! The tips are very very helpful. I think I need lots of days to learn it well, but then it's easier to play the different volumes in the piano pieces. I love the secret exercise. really cool!!! I love you and your channel, help me a lot to learn in the last weeks. (My favorite tip from you: play more often right than false for playing right and good, I think about it every day.)
dude what? I was just thinking about how I couldn't play both hands with different volumes, and then I saw this video in my feed! that's actually crazy

I'm currently working on this! I thought that playing with both hands was a hard hurdle, but getting my left hand to not sound like a giant is playing, is much much harder. Lol
I am just a beginner so not a real pianist yet but I had a really tough time at practice last week on top of an already hard work week. I was near tears I was so frustrated with myself because I couldn’t do this. My piano instructor told me I have performance anxiety. I want to say thank you because I practiced along to this video and I can already feel myself grasping the concept much better and becoming much more in control. Thanks so much.
This is perfect! The fact that I am having this problem and I am learning the exact piece being played is so helpful! Thank you Jazer and I absolutely love your videos!
Excellent tutorial! The next step (for more advanced pianists) is to learn to play multiple simultaneous notes, all at different volume levels (from a three-note chord to potentially 10 - one volume level for each finger.) Listen to the great pianists. This is what they’re doing. All the time.
Finally! This is a topic thats very important to know and to learn but way too little discussed on UA-cam. I was trying to teach myself playing the piano with the help of the internet for about 4 years and learned a lot about fingering, sightreading and other important stuff but nothing about the importance of playing the melody louder than the accompaning notes. I actually learned it from my piano teacher who has been playing classical music for about 50 years and who i have been working together with now for 4 months. The first thing he taught me, which, in his words, separates playing some random notes from creating real music, was to give every single note the meaning it is trying to represent!
This type of exercise is just perfect for my practice because for me it's hard to cooperate with volume and the more interesting, it has exercise for coordinations on every notes, thanks a lot.
hello Jazer, for 18 months I (65 years old) attend a piano course for adults. Your interesting and very good tips and teaching methods complement many things that are not mentioned in the teaching course. I am very grateful to have found your channel. Many greetings from Switzerland. ci
I did self taught for about 3 years up until now and didn't have any formal piano lessons. Little did I know that I am actually doing this exercises on my own, especially when I can't clearly 'hear' the piece. Quite surprised!
Would you please make a video on how to play with the correct rhythm. My daughter is struggling to count the beats evenly and at a steady pace. Her teacher says she just has to keep practicing on her own until she gets. The only advice she gave was to count 1and 2and 3and. I feel like there should be more guidance than that. Thanks Jazer!! I’m learning so much from your videos 👍👍

I'm practicing a piece that I'll be playing in church today, Schubert's "Ave Maria." This skill & exercise will come in very handy, having to play the single-note voice melody with my right hand against a very strong, percussive, bassy left hand accompaniment. Thanks, Jazer!
