@TraceurDjDean October Tide maybe? Um, early Anathema, Daylight Dies, Swallow The Sun, ... But I think you should check out Daylight Dies first, they are a bit slower-paced band than Slumber, but more guitar-driven, which is not a bad thing at all. Try Fallen, a relatively unknown band from Norway, or Ikuinen Kaamos, with some black metal influences and more of a scream vocal style, but not a band to miss out on. Also try Kauan and Amber Tears, melodic doom metal bands from Russia.

Hails to all those that truly understand metal!!! It's sad but most new metalheads out there today will never truly understand music like this. This is epic atmospheric extremely emotional transcendent music.
Black and death metal may have my heart but its music like this that has my soul.

My favourites of all metal bands I've heard is without doubt Swallow the sun, followed by Draconian..but this sounds really promising, great song! :) heard of them before, but never listened to their music..well, going to do that NOW :)

I do not want to say big words, but for me this album is really one of the best melodic death metal albums ever. Really wonderful job but unfortunately Slumber was so so much under rated band. It is really unfair.
I only wish that these guys will not stop producing music.
World of Music is really harsh and unfair sometimes with artists that deserve the best.

Sorry to say this to you lad, but Slumber is a Dark Metal band. A Atmospheric band is more "Long distance calling", Melodic hmm maby "Axell Rudi Pell" is hard on that metal style. Doom Naa "Candelemass" is more a Doom metal band.
But the clip was great and the metal music was "dame" heavy!

Anyone know of any bands similar to this? Preferably Melodic death/doom? Also, with vocals like these. I really like deeper vocals, more on the death side. Not so much into high screaming.
2024 and this is still one of a few albums that defines the genre of death doom.
