I'd like to see you guys aim that brilliance at building a Chord Track into Reason ala Tracktion Waveform, but "Reasonmagined" into something even easier to use to build, suggest, modify chord progressions, and integrating that functionality into the DAW.

I'm excited to play this. With reason I generally record live guitar, live ukulele, live bass and my piano chops are good enough for me to play my midi loops and internal instruments. Until I learn to play the drums I just bought, this will be a life savor for helping me something fun and unique.
Tried it last night for the first time. I only spent about 1 & a half hours just playing with it while halfway making a beat. I had just got off an 11 hour shift so I didn’t have much time. My problem is being a perfectionist and always wanting to find the perfect fit for every single little thing possible ... and I’ve just finally succumbed to the fact that the possibilities are so infinitely endless that it’s best to just go with my first or second instinct !!! ... and just use all them extra possibilities for the next new beat 🤷🏽♂️
In other words ... issa 👍🏾👌🏾 from me. I loved it. I only used it on 1 beat so far. I made a 4 bar chord loop and put beatmap on top of rytmik drum machine. Made a few adjustments with little effort while auditioning around the map. Locked in the kick snare and hat. And fell in love with how it came out with my chord loop. Now that I’ve had some sleep. It’s time for me to get back to it !!!
I use this all the time. I have started exploring using it with the Morpher CV Utility RE and the NoteMix Player to be able to save different beats and be able to jump back and forth.
I love Reason, have 11 Suite which is amazing value, but I also just bought Live Suite and every time I see a video from Reason Studios it seems like this is what they wanted or expected me to do. Anyway, I love them
To move the X/Y controller of Beat-Map: Put Beat Map and Pulsar LFO into an combinator. Flip the rack. Put Pulars LFO 1-out in the CV-1 ("Source CV IN"section) of to Combinator and Pulsar LFO 2-out into CV-2 of the combinatror. FLIP the rack. Go to EDIT of the combinator. Mark Beat Map in th list to enter it´s internal routing. In the soures of the right menu-list choose CV-1 and the target (to the rright) : X-Position. Same for CV-2 but with target: y-postiion. Now set the Pulsar to your liking. You should see the X/Y pad moving now ;). Happy experimenting. So much better with this workflow. There is also a video from Random Noise "Reason 12 Quick Tip - Easy Automation with Combinator" that show that kind of trick. Cheers Andy
I use Ez Drummer from toontrack and what originally attracted me was the control of density for individual drums. This takes that concept in a very cool direction. Looking forward to seeing how much variety exists in the maps. Hopefully those can be continually updated for a while.

Was surprised to see this, but limited in that you can only control 4 channels, the mirror channels are not independent. Kong is 16 pad drum machine, so perhaps in a later update, more pads/samples can be used with this, to make full use of the included drum machines.
It's a shame that the Reason folks can't figure out how to properly code the plug-in version number so that Logic doesn't scan it every time Logic starts and report it as "invalid". I have reported it multiple time. The latest update did not fix it.
This is fantastic Reason Studios. As soon as I get my tax return I'm buying the update from 7. Would be nice to see this type of rhythm sequencer but for chords and progressions. That would truly be a game changer.

I'm using ver 10.4 of your software and i have a question that i hope you or someone following you can answer. Every time i open up a project or template reason has to scan that folder before it can open them up. All folders in fact have to be scanned before they'll open. Template folders,refill folders,midi and wav folders, vst preset folders anything in a folder it has to scan before it will open it up. All of these folders have been scanned hundreds of times and most folders with the exception of my song folders have not been added to since i purchased the software. My work around thus far has been to open up any folders i think i may need to get into during that session and let it scan them all before i get started and leaving it open all day because if i exit out even momentarily i'll have to go thru this whole process again.. There have been times when i would be in the creative flow and open reason up to catch my ideas but by the time it was done scanning my song or templates folder the idea was gone. I've posted this query to your support line on several occasions as to a possible fix or is this just baked in but no one has answered back.
Can you guys please put more focus on reasons vst compatibility it's still not fully there properly ... You can't even use Roland cloud in reason , the new genius vst comes out out next month and you can't even use it in reason .. the sound editor needs work as well ... Please get those things fixed asap ... FL and Ableton are way Infront in today's daw standards... listening to customer feedback is a good place to start

Question - How do I get Beat Map to only play for a portion of my track (or edit it into an arrangement for only a portion). It is creating a loop I like, but I don't want it to play throughout the entire song. Can anyone help?
This thing is awesome! The one conundrum I'm having is settling on a few final layouts for those mirror hits. I'd like for the midi files it produces to be "plug and play" which is going to require hours of work standardizing a template that will work with most if not all of my VST's It doesn't help that I'm trying to learn finger drumming which uses completely different layouts than the standard GM so I have my work cut out for me. I'm happy to stick with audio stems for now, but I'd really love to build up a catalog of midi files I don't have to spend loads of time tweaking to get to sound as intended.

Beatmap is awesome. I managed to make a Busdriver type of drum loop in seconds! By the way, how do you copy the pattern to the sequencer in Logic? I still haven’t worked that out yet.
UltimateMoralizer Could export midi from Reason standalone and then bring it in. You could also try using the new “midi out” instrument and have the notes sending to a specific instruments Midi Channel in logic if you’re using the Reason Rack plugin. Then you could just hit record and it should record the notes it’s receiving from Drum Map.
My kind of gadget, but playng with it I can't get the x/y inputs to work on the back panel (say with an lfo plugged in) and also Learn Key seems to be inoperative. Yes, I've read that part of the manual ;)

Mess around with it. Its more than enough already. you can stack a drum sequencer on it and control other pads.
This is the kind of thing that needs to be included to inspire upgrading.

You are using a hacked version which can only work by scanning all folders each time. Please buy the software.

Copy pattern to track and then turn off beat map, now cut, loop, the beat generated where ever.

Okay I was sold on this pretty quick but I literally said 'yeeeeess, fuck yes' when you showed alll the CV IO options.
My kind of gadget, but playng with it I can't get the x/y inputs to work on the back panel (say with an lfo plugged in) and also Learn Key seems to be inoperative. Yes, I've read that part of the manual ;)
My goal is too learn one new thing in Reason. Maybe when I'm 90, I'll finally get it

Fantastic video / fantastic idea for a product / fantastic execution of that idea!!! :-) I'm a Reason Rack user with one quick question - - when I find a beat a like (with Beat Map and one of your drum instruments) - - can I now just drag that beat as a MIDI clip into my master DAW? Thanks - Pete Radd
