    LOVE the analogy! I would hope that as an artist they would understand. Maybe they would understand if someone were recreating their work and taking credit for it.

    If I perform a song by an artist without asking is it copyright infringement? To me that seems more analogous than stealing headphones

      @@aaronscycles oh right - love performance is not considered a publication of the copyrighted work. Only when it’s recorded and sold or posted online does it become copyright infringement. Synonymous with when my photo is taken and printed or in this case painted somewhere.

    This photograph was taken during a school production of West Side Story. You had proper permissions to take the photograph I assume. Did you have the actors sign a model release form?
