Hey Juan, I just finished 2 ditty bags for my granddaughters (almost missed that one-no leftie version!). They love having something to put all their things in! My two cents about crocheting in your vids is that it is great to see you “in your natural state” but please make sure to include some face time as well!

I treated myself to 6 of the Furl's Odyssey hooks, but unfortunately I don't love them. They are going on eBay. I love the shape of them but can't get used to the inline hook. I prefer a tapered hook. I am working on a hexi granny for my new to me van and then I have a mini solid granny I started long and go and never finished. I am not allowing myself to start any new projects until these two are done and then we shall see. I am thinking of making an afghan for my bed.

My current WIP is another Easy, Breezy shawl by Kristin Ohmdahl.
I am using Mandala Baby in the colorway of Acre Woods. I plan on wearing it over a white dress for when I go to church for Easter Sunday. I tend to dress for the Seasons...pastels for Spring, bright colors for Summer, and Autumn colors for Fall. My next project with be a shawl by Crystal from BagODay. I most enjoy making wearables. I am enjoying listening to you chat away and crochet. The sweet Amanda from Scraptastic Crocheter does this all of the time. She can crochet and chat for hours. I hope that Mama Wilma is doing well!! I'm literally putting the little bits of last things on my whips. Working on a granny square cardigan just thinking my sleeves are all I have to do now. Next big project let me see a k&c cotton tee shirt poncho type of thing. Thanks to juan I've become a hoarder of yarn.

I am so excited about the all things throw along...My oldest child and I will be doing it together kind of LOL. We are going to get the same colors of yarn and do our blanket but not tell each other what color we are using for what stitch and when the blanket is finished we are exchanging them. So my blanket will go to my child and I get the one my child made giving the blanket even more meaning =)
My gosh you crochet fast!
I am in awe of the speed with which you crochet. I, too, speed crocheted for 6-8 hours a day in the past UNTIL I had tendonitis in my dominant wrist, arm, and shoulder. During physical therapy, I learned that I should crochet with elbows close to my body and slow down. If it hurts, to not crochet through it. I also take a break after an hour of stitching. You bring me joy. Be blessed and crochet on.
My Furls Odysseys are my favorite!! I have several. The reason they discontinued is because they were produced my a small company run by a couple. The man passed away, the woman continued production but then finally retired. They were literally destroying the building as well. So. That was the end of Odyssey. They were very small batch produced. They sold out every restock. I believe there are some new ideas for more mainstream type production of possible new designs. I learned all this over time watching Furls’ videos and reading on the site.
I apologize for multiple comments as I do this while I am wathcing so I dont forget....I thought I was the only one that knitted and crocheted in silence....I too do alot of deep tinking and praying while I work.

I loved the furl odyssey hooks too. It really helped my gauge up. They quit making them because each one was hand made. The people retired and they were talking about having them machined made. I’m not sure if that changed but they had prototypes with different manufacturers. Unfortunately they won’t be hand made anymore but I’m sure they’ll be just as nice if they do that. I think different hooks work better with different yarns too. 😉

Just ordered a 6-pack of zipper clear storage bags for my yarn. I looked for 2-gallon ziplock bags but couldn’t find any yet. I’m curious how big your bags are. They sounded like a good buy. Enjoy your videos. I agree with others, your voice is so soothing. 💕

Lol I don't know how you can have so many wips! I'll have two at the most. Normally I gotta finish one before I start another but if I run out of yarn in the middle (yeah I still need to work on getting the right amount for a project) then I'll do a quick little make like a hat or something til I can get more of the right yarn, otherwise I'm like bagoday I gotta finish before I can start another... It's why I hate blankets too lol they take too long and I get bored although I've not tried one of the intricate blankets like the one you're working on... The Sophie one?? It's lovely 😍🌹 I gotta try me one!!❤❤

I have to work in silence. I’m way too easily distracted. Talk about squirrels. You know about that, huh. 😊 Even my own thoughts distract me. I have to FOCUS. 😏 Someone asked me the other day if I would consider teaching crochet for a senior’s group. I’m trying to decide. I thought of doing an oblong granny lap blanket. I figured something simple, yet attractive, and a satisfying achievement, but small enough for me to provide the “kits”. I’m thinking about providing a contrasting color so they can learn about color change and weave-ins. I like the idea of no chains in the grannies, too, for the same reason. Any suggestions about alternative stitches? I like your chat videos simply because it is a visit. It doesn’t have to be while you're crocheting, although I notice that you are more relaxed during this kind of video. It is just a different form of the podcasts.

I agree with you on the Furls Odyssey hooks. Was shocked when I learned recently they were discontinued. Sometimes they are too heavy for me as I drop them often. I am crocheting right now too but not as fast as you. I often crochet in silence, especially if I’m starting/learning a new pattern. I need silence for that. When I’m settled, I like to listen to books on Audible.

Nice, like the video I was crocheting as well while watching this video, it's like we are stitching together. I'd like to start the Sophie's universe blanket too... I haven't made it yet. Let me know if you need help with the groups and doing that or I'm just happy to participate too. I made a few watch me do Tunisian Crochet videos last week and the week before. I think I have 13 or more WIPs and I'm trying to work on my current ones and finish some more before I start any new projects.
The hook was discontinued due to the manufacturer... they did a live about it a few months back. Have you tried the Streamline metal from furls??

I'm making a blanket with some Bernat blanket yarn with a stitch Crystal taught, I'm working on a dress for my daughter, but the yarn is thin so it's taking a while, I have to sew up a cocoon sweater for my daughter, and I am still working on my donation to Crystal's animal auction, and I have 2 scarves of yours I'm making.
Hi Juan, do you turn your continuous granny blankets or no? I’ve heard some people do but I haven’t figured out what the reason is behind it!
I don’t. Some do because they feel it keeps their square more straight :)

Hi Juan I currently have a knit WIP that when I went to sew it I sewed it inside out. In the process of undoing it the yarn broke and I had to frog back 1/2 of the back of the sweater. It's a complicated stitch so I have been putting it off. In the meantime I have decided to make my first amigurumi. Coming out nicely but going slow because it really makes my hand hurt.
