- Michael Madana Kama Rajan is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and written by Kamal Haasan, with Crazy Mohan penning the dialogues. The film stars Haasan in four roles alongside Urvasi, Rupini and Khushbu, while Manorama, Delhi Ganesh, Nassar, Venniradai Moorthy, S. N. Lakshmi, Jayabharathi, R. N. Jayagopal, Nagesh, Praveen Kumar and Santhana Bharathi, R. S. Shivaji play supporting roles. It revolves around quadruplets who get separated at birth and cross paths as adults.
Michael Madana Kama Rajan was released on 17 October 1990, Diwali day, and was commercially successful, running for 175 days, thereby becoming a silver jubilee film.

I will never forget this movie in my life. It was the only movie which I really enjoyed in theatre. It was a laid back Sunday afternoon. Empty roads in Chennai. My Uncle took me by cycle from Adyar to Woodlands in Royapettah. I faintly remember wide roads, lot of trees and not much crowd those days. We laughed a lot throughout the movie and I still laugh the same way.
A little background about my Uncle. He was one of the rare people in my family who was mad about movie watching. I think this started when he was posted in Hyderabad from his first job and he stayed there till his demise. He was the funniest Uncle of all my uncles and elders. He would suddenly vanish from his office or house, and you would find him in a theatre watching any movie that releases. Evening he would come with head down and sneak into his house. Loved him :-)
So whenever this Uncle visits any house, its celebration for the kids in that house. Parents cannot scold my Uncle so kids get Thumbs-up to go to theatres.
When we returned from this MMKR movie, it was dark around 8 pm. Those days there were frequent powercuts in Chennai. Our family was waiting for our dinner with candle light. My mom (his sister) was little angry with the delay and powercut due to which she had to wait for us to finish dinner + winding up. My Uncle guessed this, quietly parked the cycle and smartly diverted the discussion to some family issues.
But I was lying on the floor in a dark room, reliving all the memories of the movie, the jokes, comedy. Also as a kid I loved the song "Per vechalum" and all the looty that takes place.
This is the best movie I have ever watched. Thanks Kamal, Crazy, Ilayaraja and Singeetham sir. Amazing combo.
Whatever you have said,could be made into a mini animation and I think it could run people through a lot of emotions.
Nicely expressed your memories. Can relate myself with my family similar setup. I watch all sort of films and multi language, still this movie easily makes to the top of my all time favourite list.

During his adolecent period, he acted in malayalam movies before he got good break in tamizh - even Srilankan tamizh accent he got it fine in Tenali - his work ethics is beyond question in my view.
