I would call those light Q-bert panels LOL. Because those panels remind me of the 80's arcade game Q-bert

@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE when I first saw the original version from another youtuber doing a video at CES 2 years or so ago. I was like. Oh man, they must have took inspirations from Q-Bert. it a fun video game btw.
Video cannot do these things justice. I've never seen lights like this in person. The vividness and sharpness and brightness is unreal. I have the original hexas and the hexa pro, these ones are way more expensive but you can even feel in the heft of the panel it is packed with some futuristic lighting goodness.
I absolutely love them! I already wanted them, but after seeing your video, I want them more than ever! Love the 3D effects! They look sick! And a lot of the various modes look very nice. Some of the music modes you showed off look awesome!

Oh man these look amazing! Most panel light systems just didn't quite do it for me as they felt limited. Cool for specific moods but not really animated. These are actually game changing. The price is indeed a bit high but I don't know if I've seen any panels that look this good or are this customizable. I am 100% going to consider these around the holidays when there will hopefully be some sales. Great vid!

Even with a $70 off coupon these light panels are almost sickeningly expensive, but I bought a 4090 so price hasn't stopped me yet. Just got a set and am now checking on ideas for patterns.
Right good review. Just wanted to ask that you said 21 panel for a psu. Can you use a controller and a psu for 21 panels?
Any idea if the Hexagon Ultra's Gray are brighter than the Nanoleaf Black's? Got the blacks and after owning the Aurora's and shapes, they were a little too dark for me..
I'm hoping they're at least bright , compared to my original nanoleaf aurora's. Did you find these were bright enough? Or would you opt for the white?

These look awesome. Currently I have two of their floor stand lamps, tv backlight, and backlight bars with dream view…. I’m considering the pro outdoor permanent lights and these. LOL expensive lights but they are a really good product.

The Govee was cool, but I couldn't help but notice the Nanoleaf lines decorating your background. I have Nanoleaf hexagons, and now I'm thinking about adding lines too. It looks really cool!

Will these fit between a govee Y-lights set up?
What difference does the color of the panels make when the lights are on?
It's probably less minimal when the lights are on the difference, I'd say it's probably more for the aesthetic when it's off to match your wall. I have grey walls so the panels match perfect!
Great video on these. Mine arrive today, I can't freaking wait to set em up after work.
Question tho- I saw in the video you set yours up with the green section on the left instead of on the top (during the initial setup). So does it not matter, just as long as you put the green side the same. Or is that all explained in the app and I'm getting ahead of myself, lol

Question for you... do you know what the max panels limit is? I know you can do 20, but can you link 30 or 40? Is there a cap?
I don't know off the top of my head. I think 20 is the limit until you'd need an additional power supply.

Saw this vid when looking for an opinion on the regular panel lights and these are exactly what I want... then saw the cost!!!! I was willing to pay thousands for my tv, thousands for my pc, but 350 bucks for 10 lights is a bit much.

See, I'd jump on these if they had an extension cable so that they could be "split" half on one side of an area like a window, half on the other. They're sharp though.
Perhaps I'm not entirely sure what you're suggesting, but you could do that easily with 2 sets. The sets connect with each-other wirelessly through the app, you don't need to connect them via extension cable.
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE I mean with one set. My plan is to have 5 hexes on one side of a window with a 6-foot gap in between, then the other 5 hexes on the other side.

I swear, I love govee for budget stuff, but it seems like the more expensive their stuff is the WORSE the quality control is. Got a $160 lamp, the remote was made out of the cheapest plastic I've seen on a consumer product over $10. Removing the back to put the cell battery in (with a coin, as directed) actually damaged it. And then when I plugged it in, white was on, hot, electricity at all times. In the app, it said it was off, and it, sure as heck, still had highest brightness white. All my sub $50 strips work great besides one VERY old one that did fail. But between that, and their tower fan (loud piece of junk that it was) it's like their "premium" stuff is made worse than their budget stuff. But DANG do these visually look great.
Even though I am an affiliate of Govee, I can honestly say I've never had trouble with any of their stuff once. I've had many issues with other smart lighting brands (as is the world of smart lighting and controlling everything from the cloud) but Govee is the one brand holding it down. That and maybe my original Phillips hue has also held up well! Sounds like maybe you just got a lemon! Hope your future experiences are better!

Heheh only a true fan whose seen all the vids would say that so thanks lol! Given it's a dynamic track with a lot of stops, it makes for a great song to test music modes with, so kinda become the standard for me to compare with among different devices.

V1 is around 200 I believe. These are high priced for sure, but the effect unmatched!
