  • I have two small outboard motors. One is a 9.9 Evinrude and the other is a 1947 Sea King 5 HP. I had a boat motor stand for my Evinrude but not for my Sea King. From earlier days from surgery convalescing I had a Walker (Granny Scooter as I call it). I decided to see what I could do to turn the Granny Scooter into a boat motor stand. I simply got a scrap piece of 2 X 6 lumber from my shop and cut it 20" long. I then drilled holes in it as well as the Granny Scooter. I purchased four 1/4 " bolts 3" long with nuts and washers. I attached the 2 X 6 to the Granny Scooter I had a boat motor stand! Very cheap to make. I picked up the Granny Scooter at a thrift store for $5 long time ago and the nuts and bolts were less than $3 from my local hardware store. The Sea King is lighter than the Evinrude but I feel the Granny Scooter could easily hold the weight of the Evinrude.

Very interesting! I like all your videos. I watched one about propane canister refill the right way. Helped me a lot. Thanks.
