Should of fought Zhilei Zhang or Hrgovic
Fury should have also done that for a voluntary defense. He hasn't defended in 20 months.
I still wanted wilder tbh
@@qaidikramuddinnot everything is about fury. He defended in December 2022 btw so a year and change
Why risk fighting hergovic before the ibf is up for grabs, no point taking rhat fight before the belt has been vacated. Take the money fight then wait for the ibf belt.
Easy money then fight either for a belt if available plus neither bring anything to the table right now so it makes sense to take the pot of gold next
Before Fury, this would be absurd. After Fury, this is clinical. After Wallin, AJ might be out to prove a point. If that's the case, AJ will be looking to get Francis out ASAP. It might be a rough night for Francis, but he is an accomplished martial artist, a physical phenom & he will be very well compensated. Also nobody can criticise AJ that didn't criticise Fury originally.
Aj the quaker oats man stiring porridge
True but Fury should have been defending his belt and he'll still run from Joshua
@@josephridler-em5pkat least he's not running from a middleweight like Fury though
@HellBlazerMNE07 which part you think is bull$hit exactly? I'll dumb it down for you.
@HellBlazerMNE07 Fury is the one who has openly said in public that he will NEVER fight AJ. It's Fury who is the duck, it's also Fury who is the cherry picker... AND a PED abusing cheat, and also a self contradicting liar etc. This is why Fury is so bad for the sport, he's a cancer that needs to be cut out to let the sport heal from his infection.
The exact opposite of the fights I wanted: Hrgovic vs AJ & Parker vs NGannou. But Joshua vs Francis is not bad. I'm picking AJ by stoppage.
Aj v hirgovic hasn't been called yet so no big deal
Eddie Hearn in December - "Francis Ngannou couldn't win a Southern Area title, AJ has no interest in gimmick fights"
Eddie Hearn in January - "This fight will be against 2 of the biggest punchers in boxing, AJ is up against a very tough opponent"
🤦🤦🤣🤣🤣
Your obsession with Eddie Hearn is cringe 😂😂 He is a promoter, that’s what he is paid to do
Hearn does what he's told and if the Saudis tell him to sell an AJ Ngannou fight then that's exactly what he will do. No promoter is different, they all follow the money
If offered enough money why wouldn't he take it?
Haters finding a way
@gogocm4211 Y'all don't get to do this. Hearn, the fans and Anthony are being hypocrites here after their response to Fury/Ngannou. That doesn't get swept under the rug simply because y'all support a guy. This is hypocrisy and nothing else. Least people can do is just admit it. Fury fans were right when they said AJ would do exactly the same thing for the money
The reason why this fight is happening is because the Hrgovic fight 'for the belt' probably isn't working out for March 9th. The plan will clearly be to fight Hrgovic in the following fight. But why Ngannou first? I suppose that's the fight the Saudis are throwing the most ridiculous money at.
Because Fury vs Ngannou was a flop over there, they want that money back that’s why they brought Joshua over there in the first place now that this is available they can undo the Fury mess .
The plan was always to fight Wilder on this date, now that's not happening the Arabs still want a mega fight and Ngannou is about the best substitute.
Silly really of sporting to say its in jeopardy ,a fighter plans a fight ibf hasn't called anything so you go about your business simples address it when the ibf decide to strip or call something, you don't wait about on ifs buts etc
Aj set to destroy another of Fury's "wins".. fine matchmaking 👍✌️
I am very happy for ngannou cause those chances that he's been getting, no other boxers are getting. Fighting the best and most famous boxers of this era with only one fight is really a dream come true plus making all this money. I guarantee a lot of good boxers in the heavyweight division are pretty upset..😢😢
Much better than AJ vs Wilder. At least Frances is game and coming to win big time 😊
I wasn't happy when Fury fought him so I can't change just because it's AJ.
At least now we have seen Ngannou and what he brings... knocked down Fury and many believed he deserved victory. He is therefore a much more credible opponent now after that performance. The intrigue is will AJ put him in his place, or is Ngannou a giant killer in a boxing ring.
One has a chin, the other is AJ 😢but both have power...only AJ reach and experience can save him
If AJ connects,Francis will go down.. I'm 100% convinced of that.
what? do you even watch boxing ? AJ has a good chin, he has never been knocked out, only waived off on his feet one time, so where do you get the poor chin shit from? . one is a real boxer and the other hasn't fought one yet
@@davidravenscroft1641, based off what exactly, N’gannou has been hit by guys bigger than Aj with 4oz gloves on, taken knees and head kicks and has never been dropped in the cage
So what leads you to believe that Aj with way more padded gloves than the UFC fighters would be able to put Francis down
This fight is a huge money spinner for AJ. It strengthens his position within Saudi events. It's a fight that fans will enjoy at this point, given the extremely impressive performance of Ngannou against Fury. It's also a legacy fight for AJ, given that Ngannou is now considered a top fighter by at least some major pundits, and perhaps in time he will be even more established as a top boxer. AJ has a dwindling amount of legacy fights available to him given the evaporation of the opportunity to fight Wilder. Also, would a loss against Ngannou, or a scrape through victory, be such a bad thing for AJ? The media will chalk it up to Ngannou's impressiveness as opposed to AJ being (any more) washed up.
If this goes ahead and Aj wins in a devastating fashion they will just say that Francis isunt any good and that fury had an off fight lol AJ loses anyway 😮
@@harryclark7726 Haha, I see your point. Still, he'd be walking away with a bag and another W
Ngannou could turn the fight into a brawl by fighting closer and by willing to take a few hits from AJ. Ngannou could be the new WILDER with one big over hand. Ngannou has nothing to lose and he has already gained experience and Confidence after fighting the WBC Champ. Even if Ngannou loses, he can still have a victory in the eyes of the fans, and Ngannou's fans go well beyond the boxing fans.
Jab jab jab, straight right is all it should take….but easier said then done 😉
AJ has a good inside game, his shoulders are not wide 'he is built' but his narrow shoulders help him on the inside, and it comes naturally to him, you saw it against Klitschko, against guys his own hight or taller AJ will win on the inside, I don't think that's a good tactic for Ngannou .
With all due respect AJ hits hard , He can get away with that in the fury fight but Joshua will hurt him if he thinks he can take his right hand on the way in.
The new wilder?? Apart from Ortiz tell me another top ten Wilder knocked out...NONE
Unlike wilder Ngannou can actually box
As an AJ fan not really excited for this but understand why he and eddie have gone this route! Put more mud on furys legacy forcing fury to eventually fight him.
It won’t matter if Fury beats Usyk next month
@@agnikaineverdies7646 he wont always said it
@@agnikaineverdies7646 That isn't happening
@@agnikaineverdies7646fury won’t beat usyk
wow you are one deluded fanboy.
it's all about the money.
I bet it will be on the fury usyk card as a mega finale to Riyadh season and if the unified champ is stripped aj will have time to fight hrgovic after
Yeah, wrong.
Nice! Ngannou gonna give AJ some problems for sure.
What about AJ giving Francis problems?
That’s what they said about Wallin .
Congratulations to both men for what will be a huge payday. I am glad AJ can make a highly anticipated fight without having to wait for Wilder or Fury.
good choice. not too much risk, a lot of money and he stays active.
@@randymarsh2901 maybe but i doubt it.
but i hope your right...🙂
Fight makes perfect sense , complete cash grab. why he waits for the IBF to strip Usyk or Fury.
Personally I’d rather he had still fought Wilder or in a perfect world a Parker rematch.
Parker has stood up to the table at both the other Saudi shows and deserves a main event. Hopefully he at least gets on the card.
Can’t see Parker vs Hrgovic happening. Hrgovic was given a scrub on purpose to keep him rusty and to not risk his position. I doubt we will see him in the ring until the Joshua fight in June/July.
Imagine if N’gannou wins and takes AJ’s spot in the IBF
I would imagine Parker would get moved up instead. He’s ranked behind Joshua.
If that happens Parker will take AJs spot and Ngannou would take Parkers spot..But I think AJ will school him..
If this fight happens, an upset is probable in my opinion..too much risk for AJ..he's dancin with the devil.
It could happen
Imagine… not out of the realms of possibility. But AJ gets the job done ✔️
When people say breaking news its never usually breaking but I didn't know this making it breaking. 😊
I broke it slightly before icons lol 😂
great fight...can't wait to see the undercard....i hope we see something like a Joyce vs Kabayal and Zhang vs Sanchez
Omg! I need to lay down!
Dramatic 😂
Great fight definitely will be fireworks. AJ to box him early doors then finish by rd8 latest. Very good chin and heart check for AJ too.
After the fury fight this is gonna be crazy good, all out war!!!
Usyk will be stripped yes. But the IBF’s don’t call eliminators right away. Opetaia vacated his title almost 3 weeks ago and they’re just ordering negotiations to start between Bredis and Zurdo. So Team Joshua is still in play for the IBF.
He didn't vacate he got stripped of the title
As soon as the winner is stripped big will call number 1 vs number 2 and jai was stripped wich was harsh
The IBF have stripped Crawford and Opetaia not to long after they earned their titles in the ring. The IBF like to pass their belt around like some slut. Usyk/Fury fights mid Feb, while the AJ/Ngannou is in March. Like Icon said - if the loser of Usyk/Fury activates their rematch instantly, they'll give their belt to Hrgovic. They might put Hrgovic up against his mandotory which might mean that we wont see AJ fight for the IBF anytime soon. Thats my guess though
@@samgreer8274 you say Hrgovic will fight his mandatory but HE is he mandatory.
@@TavaraTheLaughingLion no if you go back and read my post you replied to, you'll notice you missed the part where I mentioned that the IBF might strip Usyk and give the belt to Hrgovic. Hrgovic will then become the (email) champion and will therefore have a mandatory challenger. Hope it makes sense..
Everyone who ever mentioned "REMATCHROOM" wants AJ to fight Parker again,
There's a lot of logical reasons to why this is a good fight.. But also some reason's to why it ain't. I feel very strongly that Ngannou has solidified himself as a boxing contender, and as you said likely outcome is AJ win's and it sends a message about Fury struggling if he beat's him. But it's also a good way to properly measure Ngannou's skill and stance within the boxing community. It's likely to make a whole boat load of money which I feel is the biggest reason because after his fight with Fury people are a lot more enthusiastic about watching him now. Is it a risk for AJ? Yes, but not a massive one. If he was to lose then not like there's belt's on the line. But he will still continue on to make lots of money.
If AJ lost, it destroys the any hope of AJ v Fury.... basically there is no upside other than a filler fight. I expect AJ to destroy Francis
Boxing fans have to be the most easily impressed, ahistorical people suffering from severe recency bias
Joshua may also be suspecting Fury will try to delay the Usyk fight because he's not physically ready and also even if it goes ahead when scheduled the loser may not activate the rematch instantly, or may even retire. Plus the money's obviously too tempting to say no to and it keeps him busy like he wants to be.
FDS 😂
Everyone knew ngannou a killer anyway, this idea that he's never boxed professionally is absurd. He's a stone cold killer.
😂😂
Thank you. The man is a beast a fighting beast, and sometimes a fight is a fight and Fury found that out the hard way.
It was just fact mate... because at the point he had never boxed professionally
@@jefbiggs1583 it's a fight, and to think his predominantly striking based style in UFC wouldn't carry over is absurd.
@@hughmungus1235 It's not absurd at all. There are a bunch of MMA fighters and only Anderson Silva was able to carry his striking over to boxing, and he had fought professionally in boxing before. Striking in UFC and boxing are just not the same. Ngannou is an anomaly in this regard. I doubt even the likes of Adesanya who has a background in boxing would do the same. The fact Ngannou is different needs to e emphasized at every point cause if u put any of the other UFC champions in the ring they'll get mauled. There's a reason Jake Paul CHOSE to fight 0-0 MMA fighters regardless of what they achieved in MMA. Even Cyborg now is fighting some no name boxer in boxing next week or something, she's not fighting a Sandy Ryan or McCaskill. All that is for a reason.
8 love the fact that anyone who criticises this fight can just point at all the videos of tyson proclaiming Francis as tougher than any heavyweight
In Joshua's position, is it better to be the mandatory for the belt held by Fury, or the one held by Usyk? What if Usyk loses twice?
Fury cannot back out of a mandatory, where he can against voluntaries
I just don’t get this.
It's good that Joshua is keeping busy
@@stactionsmedia3318
Yeah I still wouldn't mind seeing the Wilder fight, he fought Klitschko after he lost to Fury and it was still a big fight.
So in the WBC Rankings AJ is 2nd and Ngannou is 10th, so if AJ LOSES , Will he get dropped in the rankings and Francis go up like 5 places to 5th ??????
Does anyone know how much the Saudis are paying each heavyweight boxers or other boxers apart from the fury fights
its different now aj is fighting ngannou . sporting icon has no shame lol.
Ngannou was a boxer who went to the ufc beat everyone up, then went back to boxing to face real competition
Very dangerous fight for aj
Francis should start with top fighters if he is going box. I can't be arsed watching him fight bin men. I still don't think he should have fought Fury through, because of the belt.
Soon it'll be AJ vs Jackie Chan
Maybe the Saudis have bent the IBF to their will. I’m sure they want both of their Usyk Fury fights to be for undisputed. Perhaps that belt won’t be available.
🇨🇲✊🏾🔥🔥🦍 the true wbc champ returns
Aj is not stupid he won't have a war with Francis he will break him down with the jab exactly what Fury should have done
Just a stay busy fight, dance around ngannou look good and build up his rep is what this fight is about for AJ.
AJ and Hearn and the fans being hypocrites
Very disappointed - AJ said he didn’t do gimmick fights. Now is doing 1.
Only reason this is acceptable - is because he can again EXPOSE Luke being a hype job with only 1 good name (Vlad).
Yeah it's not his best move, but he has no obligations so if Fury can do it then so can the others
@@spaghettileggedduckerVery true,
Plus if Fury can con the fans he is good - with his god Sergio resume - then AJ deserves to take his foot off the gas - he was thrown in the deep end - and went through like Thanos.
Aj always fighting furys leftovers 😂
Because he can going into those fights with knowledge Fury didn’t have so he can do a better job and try to claim bragging rights
Like Whyte lol 😂
@@Glasschin2.0, Tbf Fury didn’t even want to waste any energy on Whyte but Whyte took legal action on the Wbc to make him mandatory
@@agnikaineverdies7646 AJ is just avenging the fights that his fellow brit lost, hes a good guy like that.
@@agnikaineverdies7646 Whyte was mandatory the legal action was regarding the purse split and it delayed the purse bids. Whyte lost the case.
Wow Aj has officially sold out, what a disgrace, I hope N’gannou chins him
AJ ain’t a champion tho
Should in theory make Fury think more about AJ assuming he wins fairly well, and if Fury beats Usyk will put AJ into a great position to be the next Fury fight
Joshua should win this comfortably, as long he stays away from Ngannou's short, counter left-hook, when unloading. This could be a Ruiz 1, so Joshua needs to be clinical and not get sloppy.
Risky fight with low rewards except for money. I would've preferred AJ fight Horgovic or Zhang.
A shrewd move by the AJ team, making money and going to embarrass Furry at the same time when he smacks him into next week😂😂😂
Mt first thought when i heard AJ was fighting Ngannou was "Why??". But then you realise that after Wilder lost to Parker, the money and interest just fell off a cliff for an AJ vs Wilder fight. As much as i dont like it, this fight is the only one that will guarantee money and interest.
Ive got nothing against Ngannou getting into boxing, but it must piss off other contenders that have worked there arses off to get into contention not to get their shot.
Plus, from AJs side if he goes and knocks Ngannou out easily, thatbwill only throw shade on Fury's achievements. Especially after Joshua destroyed Wallin.
Looking forward to this 💥 two big punchers and a guy who’s nothing to loose and a neck that doesn’t move…. 🔥
Mixed feeling on this. On one hand I think it is a joke fight that shouldn't happening and is bad for the sport. The reason fights with Wallin and Ngannou are now acceptable is because Fury lowered the bar at heavyweight expectations for champions and top contenders. On the other hand for AJ&Hearn it makes a lot of sense. AJ has already shown a much better performance against Wallin which questions Fury's status, by convincingly beating Ngannou it further raises AJ status against Fury. He also didn't suffer any damage against Wallin and this will keep him active and make more money, against an oppent that on paper shouldn't need the preparation fighting Hrgovic or Zhang would.
Ngannou’s biggest problem is his finishing. He had Fury shocked, watching his reputation disappearing down the drain- badly hurt, yet he didn’t throw another punch for the remainder of the round. Why not? Did he think Fury was suddenly ‘dangerous’ in some way that he’s never been dangerous ever before because he’d been knocked down? No. ‘I was preserving energy’.
Well sorry, but if you are boxing guys vastly more experienced than you are, you NEED to be playing to your major strengths and getting the job DONE once you have someone hurt- otherwise you will lose on points in every fight you have. He may be happy to go the distance with big boxing names, I don’t know. But it’s hardly a good career move losing to every boxer you face on points when you’ve got natural power to KO any man in the world. For gods sake Francis- next time you have a guy down, finish the job!
No way francis walks thu Aj,s punches like he did most of Furys....
Exactly, a jab from AJ is like a backhand from Fury.
This is extremely disappointing aj said he wanted to become 3 time champ
So it’s his fault the belts are currently with other fighters ? 😂
@@UncleTermite he is number 2 in the in ibf rankings the fury usyk fight takes place in February there you have it vacant title to fight for I’m a massive aj fan but this is not good it’s a cash grab and that’s it you can’t condone this fight it’s ridiculous I said the same about fury and as much as I’m a aj fan it’s the same disappointing
It will be interesting but not what many wanted to see, and people are gonna compare AJ to fury and AJ has the advantage over fury
Also TF has now given Ngannou credibility
What? I thought AJ wanted to fight for world champion belt against Hrgovic or Zhang but now against Ngannou….. I think this is only a money fight AJ will make like big money shot but it is very risky too danger for AJ, he make a big mistake. I think Brother Ngannou will beat AJ, I mean Ngannou is not Franklin Helenius or Wallin Ok Ngannou is not a good Boxer but He is a real fighter with courage with hard punches and heart….. I think good entertaining fight for us fans but with bad ending for Brother AJ.
When AJ lose his mentally is really gone, then he never come back…..
My prediction Ngannou wins KO
In all honesty, Joshua needs to be smart and make this a boring fight from the Jab ensure no upset. Bigger and better things to come if he leaves unscathed.
Whos AJs next opponent gunna be? Mcdermott? David Price?
mental health team if he loses and has another meltdown
Hrgovic will happily wait for AJ so he can secure a massive payday.
Why all the wondering? At the top level it's not the Boards, or Hearn, or Warren that decide match ups. Its Saudi Arabia
It’s not bad considering aj only can fight fury and wilder now. Who else can aj fight. Fury v usyk got to be a 2 fight deal just like aj did with Usyk with no other fights in between
Tough game...
I am disappointed he didn't go down the ibf route but must be serious money involved
Nigeria stand up.
And TNT Frank Warren is the lead promoter 😂😂😂😂
Then prob Hrgovic will fight Anderson on undercard?
Aj smart he knows if he can beat Francis with stoppage or ko then he fly’s through fury and have the chance to beat usyk
Joshua gunna need bubble wrap for his chin coz if he lands flush on ajs chin then the post fight pressa will need postponing for 2months untill aj wakes up
Whens he been ko'd by a shot to the chin before?
@ryanwatterson4038 when's he bin hit by anyone with his power not even Vladimir hits as hard as him plus I said if he lands flush on the chin did say he was going too ffs calm down kidda
Amazing fight
I was really upset when I see the news last night. I think we may as well just throw away the ranking system as the saulds just pick who they want to fight who and no one is saying no to that oil money . I'm so happy I went to 3 jousha mega fights in the uk because them days are done . Its now 8000 seats with 90% of them not lifting there heads from there phone. I hated that I could hear a few back row boxing fans on the 23rd singing jousha name mid fight . I could not hear the row behind me due to the noise in Cardiff, Wembley or Tottenham
All risk, no reward in that for AJ.
Should be fighting hrgovic for ibf
So basically Hrgovic didn’t want to fight AJ. Shame.
I feel, it's obviously about money. Personally one i'm not interested in. If he gets beat. Then his title shot is effectively out the window. I thinks it's a stupid move. Ngannou is a massive puncher, so he as a punchers chance, but honestly i feel it's a poor fight.
Crazy fight for AJ..
Who wants to see this fight at this moment?
I hope parker gets on the card
Aj going after every 1 on furys resume
I'm not sure about this one. No need for AJ to fight him now. It's a wildcard, a poor one but still risky one to take on his current trajectory.
Money rules again !!!
Filip will wait for AJ they are both with Eddie Hearn. Filip may make 1-2 million fight Parker but will make 5-8 million dollar fighting AJ
AJ wins very easy and I mean easy not a pray in this world will ngonue give AJ any problem at all
Please stop him like you did Wallin, that way Fury has got to step up surely 😊 If he doesn’t retire after the 1st Usyk fight that is 😂
Frank and fury were praying to Allah that Wallin would stop AJ and now they are pinning there hope's on Ngarnuo doing it because 1 if AJ stops him it won't look good for fury as it didn't look good that AJ stopped Wallin 2 the fans will demand AJ v fury and so will the Saudies especially as they are using Queensburys as there main promoter.
He wins comfortably.... too experienced 10 rounds if he let's his hands go 6 or 7 knock him out.
He will be way too fit and Mike Tyson would not be able to get up to speed. GREAT fight no pushover but if understood boxing would of out pointed Fury.
Disappointed in AJ yet again. Hope all you AJ fans go in on him like you did with fury.
AJ winning this fight easily will hurt you fury bum boys wont it
@@craigroyllew AJ's cherry picking. Yet again.
@@Pacer... hahahhahahhaha
@craigroyllew hahaha hahaha. Please improve tge quality of your replies.
Eddie is ready to drop aj and sign up Francis only Eddie and Francis win on this card it may be a tactical to get an easier route to a big title fight for the winner which I believe would be Ngannou he moves as fast as usyk and he's bigger than AJ plus he is naturally unorthodox
I really dont like this, but understand why it happens.
Im tired of this Mma and UA-cam fighters getting fights against the top guys. Pointless, and makes boxing unserious. Its just for money and entertainment value and many casuals like this.
The Hrgovic fight seems difficult to make as we dont know If or when the ibf strip the belt from the winner of Usyk vs Fury. This fight aint happening without a belt on the line.
I think Joshua vs Hrgovic is easy to make for june/July. Its a very good fight.
The good thing about this is that Joshua is beiing active, but there are several other contenders I would like him to fight.
Zhang, Sanches, Bakole, Kabayel or Dubois to name some.
Get ready for AJ to blow Nnganua away and everyone will automatically think he beats Fury........
Ngannou making some serious money 😊
Money rules boxing
This is all about measuring up to Fury! A good route to the world title. If AJ beats Ngannou in an outstanding fashion, of course the fans will assume AJ beats fury and demand the AJ fury fight…it’s a big assignment for AJ to get the boxing world to rank him highly again
Only money fight for AJ let’s face it. Hergavic will only fight if the ibf title is on the line
Not for me this one unfortunately.
I dont like this figth. Was hopping joshua didnt fall for this shit and figth hrgovic or zhang
