Oh what an era....Paul Clark, Phil, 2nd Chapter, Chuck Girard. I owe a great debt to these who really taught me the Word....thank you, all. I am in ministry today @ 53 y.o.
This girl asked me to come to a concert in 1977, New Jersey. It was just a small theater auditorium, about 1200 seats. She said he was sort of like a folk singer, but that is was Christian music. It was Phil Keaggy (I've never heard of him). He performed ALL the songs from the Love Broke Thu, Emerging, and What A Day albums. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I didn't know if I was in love with her or Phil Keaggy's music. But I knew I've never experienced anything like that.
Just heard a version of this song on How The West Was Won album from 1977&eventhough it is good, this version with the keyboard&piano is the best to me! Thanks for posting!!!!!!
@DANDKMOR I remember Michael Omartian! I think he played on Steely Dan's album Pretzel Logic. I love the lead synthesizers....Arp Odyessey. Love this song!!!!!!
I almost bought an Arp Odyessey but I backed out....It looked like it had issues....I love vintage synthesizers.....Moog, Prophet, Oberheim.....Fairlight CMI...
gonn2farr _you dont have to do such crazy things to win her back gonn2farr.That_ _was really ridiculous! haha. What you really need to do is just to have some_ _intimate boosting text and make her minds incorporate all the happy thoughts_ _you have when you were still together. Believe me, she will come back._

Great inspirational song and lyrics..Great memories...thanks for share...God bless Phil
@garth8062 Agree! This one and the "Wild Horse" solos are the two best on Love Broke Through. IMO one of the best Christian albums ever.
Great guitar and keyboard solos....thats Michael Omartian on the keyboard piece
Jim Gordon from Derek and the Dominos on drums
Surprised it was THE Jim Gordon. What a sad story of his life.

A lot of Christian music today is - frankly - insipid. This is the real stuff!!
