- In this 4K Cabview video we embark on a winter journey from Stockholm to Gothenburg with an refurbished and upgraded ADTRANZ X2 Gen.1 "High-speed"-train. This is the Swedish equivalent of the DB ICE 1. This is a tilting train, the power unit doesn't tilt however due to the pantograph construction.

This video actually starts at Södertälje, not Stockholm.
Very nice video, but the journey did not start in Stockholm but in Södertälje. Why?
We had some technical difficulties that time😊
J'adore! Merci beaucoup! Je m'évade avec mon écran télé....👍😉
Thank you for watching😊
Enjoyed this Video Love Trains ❤
Thank you for watching😊
Does anyone know what speed the train is operating on between stations?
Thank you for your question! It’s up to 200 km/h between the stations😊
Beautiful and mesmerizing !!
Thank you!😊
Not even close to the ICE, especially the ICE3 Siemens Velaro, which has a top speed of 330km/h, without tilting, which makes you sick. And acceleration is way more important anyway. The higher the acceleration, the fewer the delays and the better the on time performance.
@0Yes but this traintype is from 1990
The video was - clearly recognisable - taken from the driving trailer - it's amazing how much this wagon tilts in the curves.
On the other hand, I wonder what the driving experience must be like for the locomotive driver in the fast curves, since the locomotive does not have a tilting mechanism ...
Kind regards from Königstein, Germany and always a safe, accident-free journey!
Thank you for watching! The comfort isn’t as good in the locomotive. You can’t for example put a glass of water on the desk because it will fall down but it’s totally fine for the train engineer😊
I guess that's the heater sound in the background 😅
The best moments are leaving and arriving at the station !!! LOL😄
What's with the relentless grafitti all over the place. Started trying to spot any of the little power huts to see if any were let be.
54min in, did finally see rail huts that were allowed to be clean.
yo les GOOOO new x2000 content
Awesome cab view. Good work. 👍
Thank you for the comment
The most beautiful scenery on each side of the tracks and I really enjoy seeing this very beautiful country on the inside of the train cab Thank You very much and take care.🇸🇪👋👋🇸🇪
🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲💨
Still waiting for the new EMU's who can utilize this line, when upgraded, at 250km/h.
Thank you for your comment!😊
I would love to take a roundtrip train ride from Stockholm to Gothenburg.

Thank you so much for your suport!! 😊
I posti più belli del mondo ❤
Thank you!
Beautiful train ride.....thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching😊
Could you include Stockholm (station)?
Yes! I like this very much. ❤
Thank you!
What is the fastest speed that the train goes on this trip?
For a normal run of this service the maximum speed is 200 km/h.
@@davebowman6497 thanks
The film inspires me, absolute top, fantastic recording, great
Thank you very much!
One thing i don't like that it runs of the left side. That's why i like German railways. They run on right side like it should be , same in Romania.
Could you enlighten us as to why running on the right is the way "it should be"?
There is no technical advantage with either side. And the difference between countries is not a problem for trains as it is for road traffic. (Well it is, actually, but not much about the left/right side of driving. It's about signals, train control systems, overhead power etc..)
The right side is the right side and the left side is the left side.
We can talk to our boss, maybe we can change but I can’t promise you anything😉
I see Sweden is the same as Britain. We too run on the left side which, of course, is only right. Just imagine you’re jousting on horseback with your lance in your right hand… same thing!
Sweden used to drive on the left side of the road until 1967. The railway system never changed.
The Swedish ICE has a top speed of 200km/h while the German ICE reaches speeds of 330km/h
300 inside the country, 320 in France;)
Germany has a population of 80 million, and Sweden 10, so it wouldn’t be as beneficial for Sweden to have that fast trains.

Sweden's high speed train is unlike German or French high speed trains, because unlike the German and French high speed trains, the Swedish high speed train has to make do with ancient track that has very many curves. This is why the tilting mechanism is vital to be able to increase the speed in these corners, and even then it's not able to do 200km/hr on all of the track. A faster train wouldn't be useful on the current tracks. It was much the same situation in the UK.
