God, there's something i always felt almost all Kyoani shows i watched that always stand out m, and was in fact the use of colors. I was really impressed by how Hyouka use it, as well the rest of series i watched, especially Hibike, my favorite. But in fact i loved how Tamako love story use it to other level, i just watched it some weeks ago and still feels very recent. God i love Kyoani
    Wonderful video

Well since we're talking Yamada, I love her constant framing of shots without faces and still expressing the emotion in the scene with just legs and feet, or hands. Any show I watch, if I get more than one or two expressive leg shots in a short period of time, I'm immediately checking to see if its a Yamada work and I didnt know.

I first watched Tamako Love Story junior year of high school when I was around the same age as the characters, going through the same things Tamako and her friends were going through. Now 5 years later this movie still holds a special place in my heart and I would watch it again and again and still feel that connection, even though I have long passed that stage of adolescence. I never really knew exactly why but your video made it clearer. Thank you💕

When I first watched this movie on a Sunday night, I was amazed as to how the story portrayed itself, how the characters interact, and how the visuals look. I took a look at it again at a Tuesday afternoon, and again on a Saturday night (Which is Tonight in my Time-zone). I kept on praising this movie with it's Visuals, Story, and the Characters. I just absolutely loved it all in this movie, and it became my top favorite anime films of all time.
To anyone that has seen Tamako Market, but hasn't watched Tamako Love Story yet, or those that haven't even heard of this line-up of an anime. I recommend you watching this film, and it is a whole lot better when you finish Tamako Market to get a better understanding of the movie, and several re-watches in order to get a clear understanding of it. It took me only one watch to fully understand everything that had gone through this film alone. I came in with ZERO expectations. All I did was read the genre's, checked the cover art, and if it got my interest, I'd watch it.
And when you reach the ending, there is a whole world of possibilities of what could've happened next. It is left for us to imagine how it ends. I thought about it, and when I thought about it more, it gave me a whole path of possibilities. Who knows if your imagination would think about what happens next. This movie of emotions and character development was just so beautiful.
    All Hail Yamada.

Tamako Love Story is such a great movie, and even the base show is really great as well imo, which is a shame since many see it and may be put off but what they may think the show is about, but there's just so much that went into both, to make such great productions. Seeing this great breakdown of color being used just makes me want to watch it all over again.

  • @jayfolk

Good video. Here the epiphany Ive had with color:
cyan and magenta need more push. Roygbiv was made with indigo to get 7 colors because it was a christian number.
the color wheel is not RBY for OPG, its CMY to RGB - the experts on print and lighting only talk those colors, because the human eyes have 3 cones: RGB, colorblindness is when 1, 2, or all 3 types of individual cones in the eye dont work correctly.
I abandoned years of memorizing RG, BO, and YP compliments when I saw *you can make the color red with 1 part yellow to 9 parts magenta. Red is a secondary color* because it can be created by mixing two others. Cyan is not Blue, they differ. Blue compliments yellow, and cyan to Red. Red & Green can be very disruptive visually from xmas to freddy's sweater. Try Magenta with Green instead.
Primaries are Cyan, Yellow, Magenta. Secondaries are Red, Blue, Green. And Tertiaries are Purple, Orange, and Turquoise (Green + Cyan)
this color wheel being: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Turquoise, Cyan, Blue, Violet, Magenta.
Compose these colors using saturation, lightness, and hue - because this model imitates the visual range of colors for the human eye.
thanks for anyone's time reading this, and please try using this concept.
