      @TonyM444 cheers mate. Nothing wrong with flipping a cheapie! Some hood margins on some of them

    Great job. I personally also sand down and paint the alloy wheels just to take the eye off the curbed wheels. Only takes about 30 min and the silver paint can be used on most alloy wheels for future jobs. But I never make as much profit as you as I try to flip quick as possible and take less of a return

      @parvinkukar1259 I should do really as I've got some silver alloy wheel paint. I've got alloy filler too but I either forget to do it or just don't have the time 🤣

      @@carsnstuffukI think it’s worth and gives a customer less opportunity to ask for discount if the wheels are in better but not perfect condition

      @parvinkukar1259 they'll find another way, trust me 🤣

    I once watched a video by ChrisFix where he folded pieces of paper in half, but not all the way so the paper has a curve. Then you stick however many pieces of paper you need to the car with the curved side facing the area you’re painting and apparently this helps with feathering in the paint. I haven’t tried it myself though, but look it up.

      @benjaminkhoury304 that is a very good shout. I definitely need to learn how to feather better so I'll be scrolling through UA-cam next time I think!

    Great flip nice and simple… funny enough I often avoid cheap cars I.e sub £1000 cause I assume they are mostly faulty not sure why. Goes to show decent profit in them? Out of curiosity how often do you get something with major mechanical faults?? I.e profit killers

      @stevePC thanks mate, appreciate it.
      I've found the more expensive (to me) ones between 2k and 3k are the ones with issues most of the time. In the process of filming a 2011 Toyota Avensis 2.2 Diesel which I'll be chucking back in to the auction due to mechanical issues. I've had pretty decent results/luck with the sub £1k cheapies. I usually stick to them as there's less financial risk

      @@carsnstuffukwhat do you use to value a car you are buying and then when selling, what price you should advertise it at. Thanks in advance

    • @carsnstuffuk
      @carsnstuffuk  3 місяці тому

      @ateerali406 autotrader is usually a good guide. Just search for similar mileage and age etc and I just advertise it at a figure I'm happy with

    where do you advertise?

    • @carsnstuffuk
      @carsnstuffuk  3 місяці тому +1

      @finleyplympton usually Facebook first as it's free and then Ebay as a buy it now or best offer

    Great video. Thinking of giving this ago to raise a few pounds. Do you sell as trade or private as you need to be trade to buy from bca?

    • @carsnstuffuk
      @carsnstuffuk  3 місяці тому

      @mrc_dan_gleeball1515 it's a good side hustle to have to be fair.
      I've got trade insurance which is what's required to join BCA. However, I started off buying from Facebook and eBay to see if I could actually Flip Cars first!

      Cool, who do you use for insurance? Do you also sell as trade and offer a warranty?

    • @carsnstuffuk
      @carsnstuffuk  3 місяці тому +1

      @mrc_dan_gleeball1515 I use a broker who find the beat deals each year. Similar to a comparison website. I offer warranty via Handler Protect for newer stuff and more of a gentleman's agreement on everything else

      @carsnstuffuk thanks again for the answer and sorry for all the questions. Just trying to learn as would likento try this with my son.
      When you buy the car does the v5 get changed to you and addsan extra owner? When you did it before becoming a trader did you just tax the car for a month and get a day's insurance when collecting it?

    Can you please explain about the insurance requirements

    • @carsnstuffuk
      @carsnstuffuk  3 місяці тому

      @sajb31 To start off with you can just get temp cover. If you take it more seriously then I'd recommend taking out trade insurance 👍

    Tried selling on facebook and ebay but get no sales. Lots of views and watchers but never sell as quick as you. Any tips, please.

    • @carsnstuffuk
      @carsnstuffuk  3 місяці тому +1

      @jamiecharmer some sell quicker than others. That's why I have a variety of cars (usually between 5 and 8) up for sale. However, I'm currently looking in to Autotrader

    Why you do the job properly instead of the bodge much more satisfying and easy to sell.

    • @carsnstuffuk
      @carsnstuffuk  2 місяці тому

      @geoffreyrawlings9736 it's a cheap car that sold quite quickly. Would've been too expensive to get painted professionally. Plus it looks a lot better than it did before
