I saw an artist in twitter that does exactly this, except it's for the whole character design. They use the palettes of the most random objects for their designs and it looks really good!
I have red-green colourblindness too, and that hasn’t stopped me! As he said, there is no such thing as cheating. Use a colour picker to figure out the colour, or start in grayscale! As Marco Bucci always says, as long as the values are correct, you can get away with almost any colour. You just gotta go for it, you’ll figure out a bunch of small things when you’re actually painting. And don’t be afraid to ask for feedback, it’s a life saver for getting more aware of common mistakes you make so you can instantly correct it if you have to paint the same thing again. Colour blindness isn’t an excuse not to paint.
