Recreating Boccioni's striding sculptures from 1913

This is a brief documentary detailing the process of recreating Umberto Boccioni's three futuristic striding sculptures, which were accidentally destroyed in 1927. It aims to convey that these sculptures - all of them predecessors to the famous "Unique Forms of Continuity in Space" - are not the product of mere approximation, but instead the result of a meticulous process that employs previously untested techniques (digital sculpting and 3D printing). The sculptures were exhibited at the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art in London Sept-Dec 2019 to great acclaim.
