Nice, Big Cat Rescue ! Thank you for saving these Cats. We used to farm with 2 PT325's, one Cat, one Cummins powered in southern Indiana. Sure miss those days. Keep up the great work of preserving history. Douglas Steiger would be proud !
We tried our best to make it as original as possible. We have only bought used Steiger tractors so this can give us an illusion that it is brand new Lol. We love saving Steiger tractors but it sure is a money pit. I would love to meet Douglas Steiger one day!
Heritage Iron tractor magazine does a great job for old workhorses like these and has a great Complete Steiger history book also. Keep the dirt a turning and the smoke rolling !
What a huge undertaking! That’s a pretty big project and accomplishment. I’ve prepped and painted one of my cab tractors before so I know exactly how much work you guys have done..lots!!! The paint looks amazing. And those tires were project by themselves. Let me say that you guys make a great team. You all did a fantastic job! That tractor has came a long ways from setting in the weeds and basically forgotten to being rescued and resurrected by guys that could see the hidden potential. Well done! Awesome channel! Blessings from Oklahoma!
Thank you very much Luke! We worked very hard in the 100 plus degrees weather to get this tractor looking good but it was definitely worth it. You have very kind words, thank you for commenting!
In my personal opinion, Steiger hit the Mother Lode when they introduced the Series III Tractors - the best proportioned and best looking ones they ever produced. The previous Series were comparatively crude, particularly Series I machines, and I never liked the styling of the 1000 Series tractors, introduced from 1982 on - they just didn't look right at all. Series III did exactly what it said on the tin ! 👍
The Panther looks new, like it just came from the factory. With a new paint job and 8 new tires, the tractor is going to be around for quite a while. Well done!!!
👍👍👍👍 looks wonderful....wish had that instead of our PT280 Cougar... but, it's an Allison Auto....do you know if they put those in other models?.. and may have to findout where u got the tires 😂.. the 23.1-34's were hard to come by up here ,when we had to replace a couple last year..but anyway, excellent job fellers👍👍👊
Thank you! It seems you have a PTA 280 with the 3406 Cat and Allison Auto; those where put in the PTA 325. This ST 325 has a manual transmission. We have looked for off-brand 23.1 - 34's but there doesn't seem to be any. 23.1 - 34 seems to be a very hard tire to get. Only good option is Firestone or Titan.
@@TheSteigerChannel 👍..yep, it's a cougar 3,PTA 280 ,AUTO..with 3406A ... So another option is a 24.5/32??.. don't know much bout tires..but anyway 👍👍👊
@@TheSteigerChannel 👍👍ten four...just curious... I've heard from tire pros that a person can occasionally make a different size work various size rims...👍👍👊
Looks great! Thanks for a great video! That was alot of work
It sure was a lot of hard work, but I hardly remember it now lol!

when the steiger was built it was ahead of it's time ,
It was an overbuilt masterpiece.
@@TheSteigerChannel yes steiger was over built ,that's why so many of them are still working today

Thank you! I wish we could have bought this Steiger tractor brand new from factory. Then we wouldn't need to do any more work Lol.

@@elroyelblander6277 To get the 24.5 - 32 you would need to get a rim that can fit the 24.5. Your current rims cannot fit it due to the 23.1 - 34

Looks really good
Wow !!
The bloopers are funny. I'm looking forward to Part II.
I am glad you got a laugh out of the bloopers. 😁

Where is your family from? Awesome paint job! You need to add a Wildcat to your collection.
