That was really good, quite the toe tapper. I am always amazed how you can fly around the fretboard like that. Its something I always tend to struggle with!
Look forward to this! Your previous video of covers was great (not to mention the performance of Eight of Wands on that Atkin OOO - I've had major GAS since then 😮)
Oh wow! That was certainly a good one! I wish my dad could see it, I know he would smile and say, "That gals a good picker"! Thank you for such a great upbeat piece. Parts reminded me of the old Piedmont blues picking that I love.....
Bryan's own recording on Timber is amazing but I still prefer your version somehow :) Must be the intimate quality of the sound recorded in a living room that you chose to not overly-enchance! Love it, makes me feel at home.
it's fascinating to watch the mega-set recording of Nothing's Fifty-Fifty again head to head with this one. Both are fab, and of course have many similarities. However, IMHO, this more recent recording feels like it comes from a far happier place, is completely in the pocket, the bass has a lovely independence, and there is such a confidence and joy to it all. Thanks for posting it Lindsay!
A dermatologist told me it was vitiligo because I wasn't born with it. I started getting whites when I was 23! For a long time it was just that one spot, but now I'm getting more sparkles throughout my head 🧓
Hi Lindsay, I often review your compositions and teach them to my students. I wanted to ask you what size strings you use? Thank you for the wonderful music ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You know, I just haven't played many (possibly any?) 12-strings that ever made me want one! Plus I think it'd be tough to get the articulation without using finger picks or having longer nails, but I'm sure you're right that the right player could make it sound pretty awesome on one!
Can’t speak for Lindsay but it took me maybe a couple afternoons on the couch to get used to where things are. But I used other tunings first and some of the intervals were only a step higher or so.
I still wouldn't say I have total automatic memorization the way I do with standard, but you learn the chord shapes and get a handle on your 1-4-5 in the new tuning and you can kinda work your way around from there!

@@maxlocard standard light gauge strings, CGCGCE!
This is so awesome thanks so much Lindsay!
Exquisite interpretation of this fine tune! The guitar you are playing so well here has an exceptionally rich, mellow singing tone.

That was a GREAT guitar!
Nice playing catchy tune. 🤩👍

This one definitely benefitted from extra months of casual playing and a more off-the-cuff approach, for sure!
Great performance... thanks for sharing 🦘🦘👍😀
The guitar sounds incredible in that tuning!
I loved the tune, and your playing of it 🙂
Wow excellent cover! Keep up the great work😊
That's wonderful ! And you play it effortlessly. Love the deep sound of the Blind.
Damn!!! Another fantastic tune, Lindsay. Bravo!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Lovely and very high level playing , merci Lindsay
Wonderfully performed! Like the fluidity!
I just love that. Makes me think of the Roy Harper song, Forever, that I've been playing off and on the last year.
Love that song! I play it in open d tuning, what's your tuning, if I may ask?😊
@@ErickvdK same. Open D. It's a lot of lovely sound for not that much work with the left hand.
Wow! Yay! Great job. Chills.
So very nice Lindsay! Thank you & keep the great songs coming!
Amazing playing!
Really awesome
Oh yea!!!!
love it!
Love your white streak of hair - it looks so stylish. Was it dyed on by your hair stylist or is it a Mallen Streak (genetic)?

Wow this sounds amazing! Juet curious do you have to use medium strings when tuning that low on a shirt scale guitar?
Nope, not necessary, at least not on this one with its current set-up!
@LindsayStraw Amazing it doesn't sound too floppy or muddy! Thanks for introducing me to Brian's music too!
🤯🤯🤯😮

Oh, wow, that's so sweet! Standard light gauge on the 00s and OMs
Would you ever consider playing this on a jangly 12 string? 'Twoud be thunderous.

Wow that looks difficult. How long did it take you to memorize the fretboard for CGCGCE tuning compared to standard tuning? 😅

What gauge strings do you use for c tuning?
Nothing special, just the same standard light gauge I use on everything!
@@LindsayStraw Thanks Lindsay , they really sound great tuned low on that 12-fret. Beautiful playing and choice of songs, I’d never heard it before.
