    Someone need to teach Charlie humility. The fact that every sentence he says about himself is a huge compliment might be viewed as a bit subjective.

    Uri best interview yet. Loved his upswing course. That KQo pure call on a 2x over bet on 952r is just amazing how probably 99% of pool is snap folding there. Great podcast Charlie

    Amazing talk! I think you pointed to what i believe is the most fascinating approach to the the game: the supreme middle way between "pure gto" and "pure exploitative" strategies; or the perfect blend that results in a gto based exploitative approach. Uri really presents it with mastery, thanks to you both!

    Charlie, in response to your request for parenting tips, you too Uri... It is impossible to read out loud to your child too much. It is impossible to start too early as well. Children's books are fine, nothing wrong with them, but don't be afraid to mix in "better books" as well. Think about how children learn language. Don't be afraid to start reading "David Copperfield" out loud to your child as early as 9 months. I am being totally serious. Best of luck and enjoy the journey. 🤔🙏

    You won't see Uri's graphs like anywhere for the last 3-4 years. Most of this talk is triviality repeated in 10 different ways. But kudos for anyone (including Charlie) who doesnt have any proof of winning for the last couple of years and still being able to sell their courses. They are surely better salesmen than poker players.

      Okay my question is, what stake do you think neither of these players are beating, because you’re talking a lot but not really saying much

      I've played 5k+ for the last 5 years or so and I have never shared any of my material or study methods (besides guys im backing).
      The very top guys generally don't share material outside of a small circle.
      Having said that Uri clearly understands the game and I'm sure could beat some high stakes games.

    • @SpaceMonkey616
      @SpaceMonkey616 5 місяців тому

      Uri has been crushing the games for decades now, and still is. Perhaps your opinion of him is more about making yourself feel better. He's a beast, many pros regularly credit him for having a huge impact on their game, high stakes players are hiring him to coach them at the nosebleeds and you think he's talking nonsense? His course is amazing btw, I have it and it made me see things in a completely different way. He's a super smart guy. Perhaps be more open to seeing things from a different point of view.

    The whole point of GTO is that it is a defensive strategy. Therefore, by definition, it is NOT optimal.
    Optimal is winning as much as possible.

    • @masstransitrecords7865
      @masstransitrecords7865 Рік тому +2

      This is a bad take. If by GTO you mean solver strategies then you’re just wrong

    • @dkizxpt-su3ze

      @@masstransitrecords7865 Is the whole point of GTO to find equilibrium?
      If you find equilibrium then you are not exploiting, you are losing the minimum.
      Losing the minimum is not optimal. The optimal is to make the maximum amount of money.
      Surely you understand the point I'm making?

    • @wesleyb1458
      @wesleyb1458 Рік тому

      @@dkizxpt-su3ze but you are also getting more value sometimes by playing like the computer with bigger sizings and aggressive play. It goes both ways. Of course exploiting perfectly will make more money than the computer, but you will also make many more mistakes.

      @@dkizxpt-su3ze solver strategies are maximally exploitative. If you nodelock a sim to do something the other player will do a bunch of crazy shit

      @Spinosaurus4ever Рік тому

      @@masstransitrecords7865 I think he is more criticizing the word optimal in GTO. Playing a GTO strategy wouldn't be optimal under the circumstance that villain makes "x" mistake and you don't deviate to either a MinES or MaxES to capitalize on a greater EV yield.
