The US dreams of a repeat of WW2 in the Pacific in which they provoked a rising Asian power to the point where hostilities broke out. The ensuing war with Japan then took place within reach of Hawaii allowing the US to lever its military and industrial superiority to the max. Dream on, it wont be a repeat. China wont be drawn to the mid Pacific rather the US will be drawn to the Taiwan Strait where China will lever its military and industrial capacity to the max. Of course there wont be a war because the US knows it will lose badly in the ultimate humiliation.
Can you imagine the screams after the first or second carrier goes down: "I barely know where Taiwan is" "If China wants Taiwan that bad, let them have it" and "my son has died for what ?"
If you guys have listened to Lindsay Graham saying that minerals in Ukraine can't be left to Putin, to share with China.. that is why there is a war in Ukraine.. also, Blackrock has a plan for the leftovers of Ukraine.. western greed will end our civilisation..

We dropped that ball bad when Russia asked to join NATO after the USSR fell and we said NO. I thought that was a terrible strategic error
They weren’t flat out rejected, Russia just didn’t want to go through the same process all NATO members have to go through in order to be part of the alliance, Russia expected entry right away and NATO told them they have to follow protocol, which Russia took as disrespect. They could’ve been part of NATO if they had patience.

It was the most sane thing NATO could ever do, Russia is no friend of the West and if they had joined NATO, they would be given access to all the technology, information, strategic objectives of the West and would inevitably use it against the West.
WW3 began in Europe over 2 years ago, but it won't be called WW3 until the Pacific War begins. Just like WW2 began in Europe in 1939, but it wasn't called WW2 until over 2 years later when the Pacific War started.
so WW2 started in 1939 but in asia it started way earlier..... just depends where one wants to put that mark in calendar. it is as if WW3 is desired in west and they try to figure how to massage public opinion to favor that.
@effexon No, there are always wars, but there have only been two conflicts that have been classified as 'World Wars'. The second Sino-Japanese war preceded WW2. It, no doubt, was the lead up to the 'Pacific War' or the 'Pacific Theatre of Operation' (PTO). Prior to this, the European War was called just that, the 'European War' and not World War 2. I could draw you pictures, but I don't think it would help.

I think he is kind of ignoring the biggest threat which is a Chinese takeover of a weakened Russia, the Chinese would have much more to gain by taking Russia's eastern province's than to expend what would be the bulk of their military potential for a very expensive island with the risk it would quickly escalate into a regional wide war bringing in Japan,Philippines and the usa.
