i just love how yachie's like "YES! my grand master plan is coming to fruition! now nothing can stop me!!" "there are two of me lul" "...My grand master plan is coming to fruition!"
The only issue is that you won’t find much need for that in Story mode, or at least Normal mode. On higher difficulties, especially lunatic, and competitive with an at least competent opponent, you’re bound to get a impenetrable wall of bullets and the s help a lot with that. Once again, another character who’s level 2 is better for competitive.
So Aunn's route is where I found out what happens if you get a draw in story mode... it treats the current stage as stage one. Which gives you an ability card, even if you're supposed to be playing stage 6. That's how I somehow got Hard Working Otter, one of Yachie's cards. That also means you go to stage 2 next, like normal. That also means, when you make it all the way back to stage 6... you can have 11 ability cards. Perhaps even more.
I ran into that bug too! It was in Mamizou's story though but I was so confused when I got one of Zanmu's ability cards despite the fact that as far as I know, You dont normally get her ability cards in story mode.
@@okguy167 Yeah it was. I wont be supprised if someone makes a patch for the game that restores that bug like what someone did with the shoplifting bug in Touhou 18 lol
16:24 A monkey who hates dogs and a fox who wants a monkey to get beat up? Now we're getting into a reverse of Star Fox, where the fox tells the dog to beat up a monkey, instead of a dog telling the fox to beat up a monkey.
10:44 - I find it strange how this game has Reimu’s famous hit box as an ability despite Reimu losing that ability since Touhou 16. Is there a reason why Reimu has lost her hit box by default?
20:46 Oh, so the patch works on the final boss theme as well? Well then, you better turn it off before the final battle of Zanmu, or you're gonna be stuck with a VERY underwhelming-sounding final battle.
Aunn's playstyle, at least for story mode, is the definition of "slow and steady wins the race". Her damage and movement speed are pretty bad, but she makes up for it in other ways. Her Level 2 gives her a solid second of i-frames, which she can use to cheese past a few problems, considering you can just time out the bosses to win. Her initially large scope also works for getting a lot of items from bullets, especially on Yachie's first and second spells. In PvP she kinda just sucks though. 15:54 too bad, let's go Ogerpon (unfortunately while there is in fact a dog, a monkey, and a few oni, there's no pheasant in sight. unfortunate for specifically me) 16:42 Either breadsticks or french fries. Just look at those things dangling on her dress. lol epic fail Yachie Why the hell is Dragon Crest Bullets in a game like this, though? That spell was literally not balanced for a game like this...
Aunn is what I'd describe as a very below average shot for story mode. Her sole saving grace as to why I'm not calling her bad is her ability to have a bunch of i-frames on her level 2, which you can abuse alot. Her shot damage's bad enough that you might as well just timeout boss spells and spam your level 2 to stay alive. Fun fact, because ZUN is ZUN, the Reimu hitbox card only works for lasers, just like in ISC. On Yachie's second spell, you can actually misdirect it from side to side and not have to dodge any of the jellybeans, which is very convenient when there's a spam of bullets on screen. Also, on a final note, I wish the music patch kept Zanmu's theme as the general non-Yuuma final boss theme. Yachie's theme just doesn't feel like it fits a final boss fight in my opinion. Next time, time to suffer in earlygame jail as Nazrin.
21:31 And since Tsukasa left, I'm not sure if she left because she felt that her job was done or she left because she panicked due to realizing that Yachie's plan was FAR worse than what she expected.
As others have already mentioned, Aunn's C2 grants a lot of invincibility frames on top of actually dealing good shotgun damage. As a result, with good timing and movement, her LNN is actually not that hard to get in spite of her abysmal scope and damage. In PvP, she's genuinely one of the weakest characters around. One of the hallmarks of UDoALG PvP is what we call "frenzy", where both sides of the screen are flooded with spirits and special attacks. Most characters form impossible-to-dodge walls with so much spam; unfortunately for Aunn, the special attacks spawned from her spirits are completely aimed...
¡YACHIE !HAVE YOU LEARN NOTHING, FR this lady is in her flop era, is flop after flop BTW, thanks for the music path, I played this game a few months ago the first rounds it was okey but after a full gameplay I was TIRED of the same music I had to play it silenced 😡
Yachie's a great schemer but she ain't so good at improvising. Also I believe the tube fox speaking to Aunn isn't Tsukasa, it's just some nameless mook working for the Kiketsu group.

Someone already said this but like Marisa, Aunn’s charge 2 is actually pretty good, if you’re playing competitive or on higher difficulties; basically it’s a dodging tool as it gives a full 1 second of invincibility that allows you to get out of a sticky situation or past an impenetrable bullet wall, granted that you know what you’re doing as the bullets from the charge itself will also obscure your view of Aunn. Doesn’t really help in Story mode though, especially Normal where the bullets never really get that bad. Still a bad shot, but at least her charge 2 serves a purpose, unlike some others who also have crap shots and even worse charge 2’s.
Yachie first and second spell-card's are super simple to me idk why everyone struggling like this. It's aimed at you, so i just hug the bottom and move side to side, I haven't had a problem with any of the characters this way. Also why are you waiting for the "shield" to come back when you can force it back by doing a non-spellcard attack or a spellcard attack? Also you play super risky to the point where it makes me sweat😂. Love the videos, you are a big help to people learning how to play touhou❤😊❤
The hard part isn't so much dodging the attack itself, rather it's dodging the attack while _also_ dealing with these incredibly fat otters that refuse to die. Those things do a very good job of distracting you with how big and bright they are, but with Aunn in particular they're incredibly problematic cause that's a spell that requires you to stay put for a moment, but you may not always have that luxury if you're getting buried in otters. But cause she can't really consistently kill the things that well... I'd argue the difficulty of that spell hinges entirely on the character and how well they're able to destroy beast spirits, specifically Yachie's supped up otters.
Ah, Aunn One of the extremely garbage shots that have bafflingly low power You'd think that with all those bullets from her Lv 1 and 2 it'd be good at shredding stuff around her, but no It does piddly damage Her scope isn't great either Next up is Nazrin and oh, she is so much worse
Hi. I considered that possibility when I made the music patch. So I included alternative files that keep the original final boss theme in the patch. You can switch them out if that’s what you prefer. I just left the all character theme changes as the default.
@@SuperChrim Ah, you're the creator of the music patch? Yea i mentioned it because as far as i could remember when i used it, the patch didn't change the final boss's theme and i assumed it was updated. Thanks for the clarification! Homing shots on this game sucks, they focus the bullshit on the screen instead of the bosses leading to you having to survive for 1 minute of pure bullshit, thats why Narzin and Sanae sucked so much, atleast Sanae had a ''good'' skill
Aunn’s aura forms the “om” syllable which is kinda cute but super impractical
Yachie has quite the big shell, big enough to effectively hide in after all of the Ls she has taken in this game.
From menacing boss to Saturday-cartoon villain
Given that Yachie is one of my favorite characters from the recent games I am legit annoyed that how less menacing she became in this game 😭
i just love how yachie's like "YES! my grand master plan is coming to fruition! now nothing can stop me!!" "there are two of me lul" "...My grand master plan is coming to fruition!"
One benefit of Aunn's lv2 is that while she's using it, she has invincibility frames. It's useful as a defensive tool in that sense.
The only issue is that you won’t find much need for that in Story mode, or at least Normal mode. On higher difficulties, especially lunatic, and competitive with an at least competent opponent, you’re bound to get a impenetrable wall of bullets and the s help a lot with that.
