My apologies ahead of time if the audio mixing/quality is a little wonky at points. We aren't professionals in a studio. My headphone cable also recently started doing that thing where I have to have it at a specific angle for the proper channels and volume levels to come through. I went back to try to fix it the balancing the best I could but it won't be perfect. @@mjblcmichael True, it could've been bad seeing as they shoved mtx in at the last minute in MD. Can't imagine what the next one would've been if corporate planned to do it from the start. They'll probably test the waters with a shitty remaster of one of the older games (HR or before) or something.

Why does Deus Ex prompt creators to make hours long videos and why do I keep watching every single one? Oh yeah, best game ever made. Maybe it's time to reinstall it again...
Deus Ex is important for me for two reasons. First of all i just really enjoy the game even with all it's flaws. Once i understand the base mechanics i had a ton of fun with it, and it did not bother me one bit that even though it looks like fps, it sucks at being one. I had the same fun with Fallout 3 where i enjoyed the combat very much, even though on the paper i shouldn't. Second reason - i'm a huge tinfoil hat, and much of it's plot revolves around actually worthwhile conspiracies. Yeah much of it is speculation, and it kinda lacks one important motivation of some people in power - satanic driven need to bring harm to others (take a look at concentration camps, and see how the cruelty of it went way beyond any kind of utility). But it's still on point in many places. Which just makes it that more interesting for me. Also i just love it's artstyle. I've tried it for the first time around 2007 but i couldn't get into it at all, i haven't even played through first mission really back then. And then i returned to it on PS2 circa 2018 and fell in love. Really amazing game overall, and great example that perfection isn't what makes games great.
i sped up through the voice acted parts, and the high pitched voices made it even funnier, maybe you should try that, other than that, good informative video :)

@Fl0zGaming Revision is not only superb but the definitive way of playing the game. and most changes have a toggle to turn them back to vanilla. pretty much all the debuffs you were complaining about on your video have been rebalanced and fixed. plus it looks so much better.
@@dannyd4339 Revision makes heavy changes to the games level design and art direction, and these changes veer far off-course from what the developers originally intended. While I don't think Revision is necessarily a bad mod - returning Deus Ex veterans can probably at least get a kick out of revisiting the games iconic locations, re-imagined with a refreshing new art direction and impressive level of detail - I also don't think Revision could in any way be considered the "definitive way" to play Deus Ex. In my opinion, the GMDX mod does a far better job of bringing the vanilla experience up to a more modern standard. It does so by focusing on fixing, refining, and - rarely but tastefully - expanding upon the games design and art direction, while trying to follow the developers' original intent as closely as can be reasonably expected, without having direct contact to team.
