- The Skywars Playercount is dropping FAST..
I figured I'd make a video on this topic as a lot of people including me have noticed the huge drop in the skywars playercount within the past few months and throughout this year. This honestly didn't turn out as good as I wanted it to but I didn't go off a script and was recording really late as well as to be honest I'm kinda too lazy to re-record it lol.
Let me know your thoughts on videos like this as I will do more if I can think of some interesting topics.

I started playing in 2015 and stopped in 2020-ish. I remember building huge platforms at mid and just generally getting away with stupid wacky stuff. My favorite kit was sloth because it was just so bad nobody expects the slowness pots. Nowadays I can't even do fun stuff anymore because the games end so quickly and when you get to mid the whole game is just there and you get cleaned immediately.

I think 2019-2020 was definitely some of the best times I've had with skywars. It's sad to see the game dying but I knew it would happen eventually
I think if hypixel hadn't had some updates it wouldn't be in this situation today.

Mega and ranked held skywars together, no updates to mega caused it to die and lack of moderation and care caused ranked to become so toxic they had to shut it down. sad to see but game is probably going to be completely dead in the next couple years unless something drastic happens to change it

how much longer do you think skywars has until its imposible (or near inposible) to get into a game
Not sure because on weekends it still gets a decent amount of players sometimes but maybe a year and a half

imo 2 of a few ways can come back, staff listen to players give them what they want stuff like double exp too to get new players interested, or if another UA-camr playing sw pops up say for example another "technoblade". atm those are the 2 main ways I can sw making a revival
Yeah I’m thinking either hypixel blows up from it becoming a trend or some sort of similar thing
I'm gonna nerd emoji here but, as someone who played skywars since 2015, I feel like the main issue is the community is very focused on winning. Mainly stuff like leveling and descent that forces a sweaty playstyle making everyone do the most annoying tactics to win. Especially since you get heavily rewarded for winning compared to either losing a game with the most kills or trapping. I may not like bedwars but at least you're rewarded with exp to make up for your losses. With skywars your losses feel like a waste of time. I do like how Hoplite does their leveling system being similar to UHC and bedwars and would like to see it get implemented in skywars to see variety in gameplay but it's way too late to change the systems.

Is there ever a point where you’ll stop grinding? What keeps you going atp anyway
I keep going because I still like the concept of the game it’s just the toxic community that I hate. But having a following on here helps as well and I enjoy star grinding.

in 2 years if hypixel does nothing skywars will stay below 50 players i feel tho cuz the server isnt unpopular skyblock is popular and bedwars somewhat played the occasional players would still get on anyway but at night the game would prob go below 50 players who knows
Yeah I mean over like summer I think during times like that it’ll see an increase but I don’t think it’ll ever go back to what it was like 3 years ago
@@inforr i mean player counts are normal lol its went back to how it was 2018-2019. it had its temporary spike and now its back to normal.
@@medkatyt true i suppose but it still dropped very fast which is why it kinda looks like players are losing interest.
