Sable was the star of that show. When she was on screen, things just popped. She held the entire thing together. I was so pleased to see them move her to Dynasty in its final season. The theme song is one of the best ever written! (Thank you Bill Conti)
I thought John James was a hottie back then, thought Maxwell Caulfield couldn’t even come close. But have to say MC certainly aged better, and is now the more attractive.
The series was a copycat of Dynasty but was overloaded with visuals (Stanwyk and Heston), but it had no real depth. It should have been simply titled THE COLBY'S and created more depth to the storylines rather then pretty dresses, big hair and conservative values (Dallas, Knot"s Landing & Falcon Crest had already accomplished this). Beacham was perfect but her storylines (was she a spurned or a desperate housewife?) were not enough to keep the series afloat.
The series ended up being so boring and tedious. It looked like they had to complete 25 episodes whatever the way. 'Dynasty' was the toll ABC had to pay for such a fiasco.
Thank you very much

I haven't seen the show yet but I could listen to this woman 4:31 talk all day. She seems so interesting and fun.
Very interesting! Thanks for putting this on.
This is amazing!!!
