In my case using a 4070s I went from 79 fps (lowest, average around 80 to 90) to 120 in the lake area at the start by dropping from ultra to high (on all except textures and characters).
@@Toguro45 thnaks mate. would you say its a real noticeable visual difference dropping to high ? gaining 30% or even more frames is huge. i own a 3080ti which should have close to the same performance but i would prefer a 100+ average framerate
@@WhiteBoyGamer As a rule of thumb, ultra is for screenshots while high is for gameplay. I'd drop those settings and only change it back if you immediately notice a big drop in quality
@WhiteBoyGamer haven't noticed anything tbh, probably minimal stuff. Apparently the game even looks great on low from the side by side stuff I've seen. Only difference would be the light and shadows which isn't a huge deal, that being low vs ultra. Should be perfect on high.
Damn, almost every benchmark with 4070 and 4070 Super uses 7800x3d or another powerful CPU. Can anybody here can tell me how it would perform on 4070 and 5600X?

4K High DLSS Q or 4K Ultra DLSS P, which one looks better? I've got a 1440p 144Hz monitor and 4K 60 projector. I think, for the projector's case, i can use the 4K High DLSS Quality (or balanced) mode with new transformer model and still be in the 50's range for today's most demanding games using my 4070 Super and don't have to dial down to performance mode. What's your opinion? Especially on the balanced mode.
With new transformer model difference between dlss balance vs performance mode is negligible. I own a 4090 and now with DLSS 4 it's no brainer for me to not use performance mode as difference vs native is almost non existence and I get 50% more fps. So yeah native is a mere flex now.
Try testing in dynamic games. When I installed new drivers and dlss4 the first descendant started to freeze. I have this game almost never slow down. 99% of the time the game works properly. But after these innovations appeared stuttering in the game. I had to completely uninstall the drivers, even from the registry and perform a clean installation of the old drivers. After I got last year's drivers back, everything started working smoothly and stable again. By the way fps on new drivers and dlss4 really became higher, but...I stopped trusting fps, as such strong brakes at high fps - just nonsense
I'm using RX 7900 XT + 5700X3D + latest drivers + no upscaling, and in the first horse riding area on Ultra @ 1440p I got between 80-90 fps.
what i would like to know is how much performance do you gain by dropping from ultra to high?

Hello friend are you using the new driver? i heard the new driver has some issues is it safe ?
GOTY 2025
Another game for Geralt Benchmarks to play before beating BG3!
it is very good great thx for this benchmark, I really wonder how the game runs on AMD gpu, got a 6800 and the first one runned pretty good
Second one runs better than the first one.. you can be assured

That CPU can handle the GPU even if its AM4. The main goal here is to avoid the bottlenecks and keep the hardware balance
I have rx 7700 xt + ryzen 5 5600x(1440p high settings native) runs good , don't see bottleneck

@Ragssssss thanks for clarifying. so then quality mode now looks better than native?
