I concur with this completely....been using henna and indigo for about a year now and although the down side is the amount of time (5hrs total wait time) it has added benefit more than I was expecting. Color last for a month and when it's time again you can see the new growth throughly which is an added bonus. My beard light spots have completely disappeared and given more fullness and a better look all around. I was using Just for Men for years when B suggested a more natural way and it worked.....believe it! Salute B and as always keep bringing the knowledge!

I work from home and at lunchtime usually on Wednesday (so my beard has time to settle before I go anywhere on weekends) I will use the henna and put a disposable shower cap on until its time to log off of work, the result is a very well dyed beard with a natural look, and its done within the structure of my day so its not like I am wasting time doing it, just having the shower cap on for my afternoon and I am good to go.

Henna and indigo is the perfect beard dye for any color from black to red. Its best to use them seperate in a 2 part process. takes longer but the results are better than the mixed version. eye have tried both and prefer the 2 step process which takes 8 hours.
How? I used henna+ coffee but it did nothing to my jet black beard.
@@faizannaseer1901 henna and coffee will not color a black beard. Henna is for grey. Henna turns grey hair red, and the indigo colors the red to black.

I was thinking of dyeing my beard, I have some white coming through & I'm only 23. Just worried about my skin getting destroyed from the dye because my skin is ultra sensitive. I know it's "organic" but I've still heard of people having allergic reactions even with "organic" dyes.

Just for me will give you skin cancer. Dont use that BS. I use Bigen but I dont keep it in for full 5 min. When it starts to irritate my skin I immediately wash it out. Stay away from Just For Men. Also when using Bigen wash out with cold water. If it burn a little the cold water soothes your skin. Your Welcome.

@@ammar4476 youd have to go to the women's hair section for it- bigen or clairol semi permanent color. They come in a 3oz bottle don't have the harsh chemicals and you only leave it on for 30 minutes.

I’m super allergic to henna, so if you’ve never had any exposure to henna. Maybe try a test spot before you go lathering it on your face multiple times…if I took the advice from this video I’d end up in the ER
I've tried Henna didn't color it at all just made it a reddish brown.. Tried JFM & Bigen (2 weeks ago) . I thought Bigen would solve my grey beard problems; the color took but, I suffered w/that terrible rash on my face for almost a week. My beard grows fast and grey pigments appear after shaving in few hours. Can henna natural one be applied on day old beard? I prefer shaving three times a week.
I just tried the Colora Henna Powder Natural box, mixed it and let it sit overnight. I applied it and left it in my beard for almost 4 hours and it didn't change any of my grays to amber or red. My only concern now is since it didn't do that, should I even do the indigo part or just leave it alone since the henna did nothing?

I used Henna for the first time a few days ago. Just For Men caused some real damage in terms of a harsh allergic reaction. The Henna product I purchased was no better, maybe even worse. The color came out just fine, but I was in a hell of a lot of discomfort. Swelling, itching, blisters, rashes. I had to wait it out because nothing provided relief.
Prob needed to wait a while to get the JUST FOR MEN chemicals completely out. I had same bad reaction with JFM Dye. I tried to wait long enough b4 I used anything new. I suggest washing your beard often with a harmless soap
75KINGME actually it had been a couple of years since using JFM . I had tried Henna before I had the bad reaction, but it was a different application process. It was a premixed liquid in a small squeeze bottle. I didn’t have the same reaction, however the color only lasted for one day. I think it was meant to be like a quick touch up. The powder type that I mixed . Bro, it burned me pretty bad. Not to say that it will happen to everyone else, some folks just have different allergies I suppose

Great points. As a national beard champion winner..I still choose chemical colors for the following reasons:
1. Speed: I don't have 5 hours to do my beard. Nor do I have the patience to wait that long when I can get great color in 10 minutes from Bigen..or 30 minutes from Revlon Colorsilk.
2. Staining: Henna stains can last for days on skin. Which is why many people use henna for temporary tattoos. Chemical hair color stains can be taken out immediately after rinsing with shampoo or a hair color remover. Or the next day with regular washing.
3. Color: Final henna color results can be very uneven. And if you want different shades beyond black..they tend to be very expensive.
4. Price: Both Bigen and Revlon Colorsilk can be purchased easily and cheaply. Henna is always more expensive and harder to find..especially in colors other than black.
As for hair condition..while it is true that Henna will not damage your beard hair like chemicals can..if you use an oil conditioner on your beard once a week..and a quality daily deep conditioner..preferably with protein and oils in it..you won't see a vast difference in hair quality with hair that has henna in it. Good luck guys..and remember..it's just a beard..and will always grow back. 😉

Great info bro, but I used henna, and it absolutely did nothing for my beard, on the other hand, I used bigen, just for men, and permanent ppd free hair dyes, and got allergic reactions such as dry spots on the right side of my beard,which caused my beard hair on that side to have limited growth, (meaning one side of my beard grew, while the other side was at a PERMANENT standstill, SEVERE itching, which caused my face to leak this clear semi thick liquid from my face when I scratched it too much, which ALSO led to swelling if I scratched too much and too hard. Crazy thing is I TRULY know how a dog feels when you scratch them under their jaw, notice when you do that how a dog starts to thump, or pat their leg REPEATEDLY? THAT would happen to me. I would limit how much I would scratch my itchy beard at work, during the day, but when I got home at night, ALL BETS WERE OFF! I would go on a SCRATCHING FRENZY!! when I scratched the itch, my leg would"thump" and pat REPEATEDLY like a damn K9!!! because of the "pleasure" of getting that damn itch!! ( I'm not bullshitin',either, this is what I would go through EVERYDAY with those dye chemicals on my face, I know it may sound funny, but this is real!) After seeing the henna wouldn't work for me, either, I found something called "Blackbeard Beard Dye" I would say it's comparable to mascara, but for the beard. It's chemical free.... I believe, ONLY because since I've been using it, I've had NO chemical reactions, no itchy beard, except for the"regular" itch ANY person would have on the daily basis, no swelling, no NOTHING, the only thing one would do is just dip the brush in the bottle, and apply the color to thier beard by brushing it in. It stays on ALL DAY, as long as you don't take a rag and scrub the shit off your face. I truly recommend it to those men with chemical reaction problems to hair dye, when THAT, or the henna don't work. I'm just not ready for that "salt and pepper shit, yet fellow beardsmen.... forgive me. If it grew "evenly", "maybe", but it grows mainly on one side of my face, and being that I'm not using the chemical hair dye no more, I noticed the "dry standstill" part of my beard is starting to grow again, so fellas Blackbeard Beard Dye is another alternative to covering those greys. Sorry for the long winded comment B, I was just hoping my testimony will help someone else who maybe in the same boat I was in, thanks for reading...... peace.

Dying natural black is a two part 8 hour process. You use Henna first and then you dye with Indigo for black. You need both, henna and indigo.
The grays are coming. Don't know why, but I feel good about embracing my hair; but I'm not ready to embrace my graying beard. I'm conflicted about dyeing my beard, but I definitely don't want to cut it off.

How do I control the gray beard hair with out cutting the wild hair's all the time I comb or brush my beard? Would not dye any part of my gray it stands out (when I can control the gray).
You can eat grapes with seeds, kiwi, apricots, watermelon, onions. They have catalase which breaks down the hydrogen peroxide which destroys the melanin in our beard strands.
