I don't think it's fair to judge since we only know a tiny bit of the story. We have no idea what pushed her to try something like that. She could've been through some trauma she told nobody about or had some psychiatric condition that hadn't been diagnosed. We have no way of knowing that so it's a bit harsh to assume it was just plain stupidity.
