I can listen to this song by you a hundred times. Love the way you sing this song and the band that backs you, is just fabulous. Greetings to you all from Sri Lanka.
First heard this music over 50 years ago but didn't know the title until about 20 years ago. Mesmerizing, hypnotic and fascinating. Loved it at the first instant. The first encounter was played by organist Lenny Dee (took years to find out), on KFOG FM104.5 in San Francisco. So many years have gone by but still recall those good old days. That's what good music can do, wonderful and incredible.
Wow. was searching for a version of this song as a vocal to send to my band and came upon your video. Your voice is intoxicating. Love your phrasing. Keep doing great things...
The " Bossa Nova ", was a musical movement that was born in Brazil in the late 1950s, suffering great influence from the samba and the jazz, as we can hear. The composer João Gilberto, is considered as " the Bossa Nova father "
This is Almeida & Shank from 1953 ua-cam.com/video/CtoTJbthUMY/v-deo.html. If you listen, you might want to revise your position on the start of Bossa Nova. No matter what, it's all good.🙂🙂🙂🙂
WoW! How did I miss that! Excellent! I already simply adore the song, but your take on it, this amazing voice and great musical performance. I love it! Thank you.
Sad the pianist is not to be seen in this video, he is playing so beautifully, in fact, all the musicians are doing it just beautifully and they start on the right note. Like to see all of them. Also it would be so nice if you could give the names of your musicians, the guitarist, pianist, bassist and the drummer. Please do oblige. You certainly put out a fabulous video. Is this a band from Brazil?
Great rendition of a classic tune! A beautiful voice tells a beautiful story.
Listened to 7 different verisions, this one took it for me.
Listen to Error Garner's delightful piano version.
Love to find different versions and arrangements of most of the favorites on my playlist. Great hobby

Soothing and warm. ❤

I just love this song, especially the way she is singing it, the Bossa beat and the fabulous band that is backing.
