These young adults are achieving what I thought was impossible which is to make me dislike Chad Daybell even more now.
I would also be exhausted and exasperated if I had to deal with some of the members of this family.
Justice will never be done. These people are dead and gone at tender ages. Tylee was chopped into pieces, her body burned and treated with deep disrespect. Chad and Lori feel justified and backed by their “religious” beliefs. The Mormon “church” has not spoken out against their crimes nor have they spoken against the crimes of Ruby Franke, Jodi Hildebrandt, and other Mormon criminals recently in the news.
As clinical psychologist I have been diagnosing and theorising from my lounge room - It seems to me that the Daybell family was somewhat dysfunctional to begin with and Chad par-boiled his kids before he de-coupled from his wife and hitched his wagon to Laurie. I feel they would lie on under oath because they believe that their father, as ultimate head of the household is god appointed and an instrument of the lord. They may have even believe they their mother as dark and it was her time because their father indicated it. These types of belief structures, if they are accepted without question, are layed in childhood and are part of the kids DNA. After hearing them on the stand, I am inclined to feel they ARE aligned with their father's narrative and doubt the evidence - and more than likely attributed the mothers death to an alternative eg: the mother had gone dark and her removal was for her own salvation. We cannot underestimate the power of cult - like environments and gullibility of followers to overlook glaringly obvious contradictions in favour of what the charismatic leader announces. Its worthwhile considering trauma bonding as a motivation, along with cognitive dissonance - from a purely clinical perspective - what sticks out for me is the language the kids chose to use when discussing some of their own beliefs. Emmas stance on autopsies, her flat demeanour and absence of tenderness toward the memory of her mother - Garths flat affect and absence of tonal variation when recounting the story of finding Tammy dead all point to a contrived suppressed emotional experience. They are distancing from the victim, detached from events - I am inclined to conclude Chad has shamed them and Tammy into a household where a show of any real emotional response was forbidden.
I believe Chad Daybell is pure evil,he prayed on upon people's weaknesses to his advantage to fulfil and stroke his ego as some higher power in which he is not .
I believe he's brainwashed his children and he prayed upon Tammy groomed her to his beliefs etc.
I've noticed anyone who went against Chad or spoke up was considered dark,is that what Tylee did?, a 16 year old with a voice.
Im aware that Lori Vallow was no saint and certainly not making excuses for her,but I'm somewhat feel sorry for her in some ways,been taking in by Chad's evilness.
One thing I have noticed thru out this whole saga Chad has thrown everyone under the bus,he was mindful to turn of his data got Alex Cox to do all his dirty work his children damaged and 4 people dead.
I truly believe Chad thinks he's untouchable,I think his children have a little more knowledge than they are admitting to .

This sounds very likely. Emotional and narative control is a large part what abusers and cult leaders both do. Its so scary listening to the children speak. They seem so disconnected from any feeling to what has happened or the reality of it.

No decent man talks about a murdered deceased loved one that way especially when the grandchildren will grow up seeing that and hopefully treat this pathetic excuse for a man how he treated the grandmother who sacrificed for the family mire than this guy will ever know or appreciate.

I have to watch the video again where Emma is talking to Chad in the back of a cop car. Didn’t Emma state in the video that she was speaking a police officer and told them that the pet cemetery has the remains of dogs? And she said the cops response was “ no offense but we would know the difference between the bones of a dog and the bones of a human being”? I have to re watch but I can almost swear that she just perjured herself.

@@camiosis I think the previous comment was talking about how law enforcement told Emma they found human remains...but Emma said they had buried pets back there. That's when the investigator said no offense but we know the difference between human and animal remains. There was no racoon found in the backyard where Tylee and JJ were found.

You have to be on your toes with these people. They make too many contradictory statements. The truth always remains the same. In This case every time you speak to the Chad Daybell family you have to record the conversations because they tell too many stories that turn out to be untrue.
I can't get over how disrespectful Joe Murray is, talking about Tammy as being jealous. Maybe bc I'm in a different generation, I would not allow something like that to come out of my or any bodies mouth about my mother. What's wrong with those daybèll kids? A Gun is a Gun weather it’s a paintball gun or a rifle either way . it’s Very concerning that someone was trying to shoot her
the point about it being a gun and not a paintball gun is Alex Cox. The prosecution contends that it was Alex Cox trying to murder Tammy. The phone call with Lori that same night between Lori and Alex also supports this.... that it was an attempted murder.
For this case it's important that it was NOT a paintball gun. Alex didn't have a paintball gun, he had an AK. Further they are trying to show that an attempt on Tammy's life had been made once already and then she was asphyxiated and died. So if someone was trying to murder her already, with an AK, then she ends up dead, it shows intent to kill her. This is important to what the prosecution is trying to prove.
I heard Alex used a silencer on his gun when he went after Brandon? Brandon said that in an interview. I think I also heard that there was a silencer involved in the shooting of Charles. That one I’m not sure of, but I do remember hearing Brandon say that.

I’m entirely pissed as to how different Pryor treats his people testifying as to how the people for the state testifying are treated. I know he has to do his job, but if the jury feels anything like me Pryor himself tanked his case. Asking his people if they need water, let me know if you need a break then going after the middle aged neighbor, and almost causing her to cry. He is 100% despicable!!
How old is Joseph Murray? There was a rumor that he’s older than Emma. Hard to believe both are adults after hearing their testimonies.

So Emma’s husband had a smart phone and got a notification about the paintball incident? He then said he went into the house and asked Emma if she’d seen the notice, which to me proves both are phone savvy and that it makes even less sense for Emma to be going down to her parents’ house to Google wind direction on their desktop. I wish the prosecutor had asked Emma if she owned a smart phone and how long she’s had one.

My perspective of this family comes from having been active LDS for 52 years before I fortunately found true Christianity.
The mildest affect on members of the church in my experience is a spirit of numbness, dumbing down, lethargy. A commonplace droning, monotone speech of church leaders (It was always so hard to stay awake listening to general conference for example).
It is very disturbing to listen to the Daybells for that reason alone, apart from the lying. The enemy's influence is so heavy on them, comon sense and appropriate reactions are not even available to them. They are completely foreign.
And it is so easy to lie to others and themselves because the religion, like all man-made religion, has deception as its foundation... Not God and Truth. It is not only the LDS culture it is the in-bred, patriarchal power everything operates upon.

Don't forget that Chad's cult was a spin off of the larger Visions of Glory cult. That cult still exists and is thriving among LDS members.
Visions of Glory was a book that spawned a cult. It's where Chad got his ideas of light/dark, possession, NDE's, and the end times.
There are Reddits and YT vids about the Visions of Glory cult. When Lori was served papers to present her kids while she and Chad were in Hawaii, she puts down a book and it's Visions of Glory.
Hidden True Crime also covered a lot about VofG. It's the cult that was having these conferences and fireside's where all of the players in the Chad&Lori murders met each other.
While VofG is not mainstream LDS beliefs at all, the mainstream LDS leadership has yet to say anything about how dangerous VofG is. The writer DID disavow the book but the book remains in print and is influencing many LDS and leading them to these bizarre beliefs. So much so that there are rumors of a possible schism in the LDS church bc of this book and the large following it has.
The truth, however, is that the VofG cult mixes new age occult practices with LDS beliefs. Some of those Occult practices are things like seeing the future, divining with pendulums, psychic visions, energy work, etc. All of that is new age occultism. It has infiltrated the LDS church in a big way.
This is why I believe Emma and Joe and others in the Daybell family will continue to be part of the VofG cult even if only in secret. Emma holds these beliefs. It's funny they seem themselves "light" because if anything Emma is a dark dark person whom I believe is dangerous and that she is at minimum in Chad's cult if not complicit as a co-conspirator. Her testimony alluded enough to her involvement that I think she ought to be investigated or at least kept under watch by LE.
Ruby Franke and Jodi Hildebrandt who are in jail for child abuse were also part of the VofG cult. They were torturing Ruby's children bc they believed they were possessed.

I don’t see anything odd about that. If I’ve been chopping wood for awhile and my phone buzzes in my pocket, I’d happily take a break for a minute to check and see why my phone vibrated.
My phone vibrates with a notification for text messages, and then also for notifications about a few family/close friends on my social media.
It Sounds something like he got a notification “Tammy Daybell posted in xyz Neighborhood Discussion group - just got shot at by a paintball gun!….” so he decided to check it.
I wish they would have asked if Emma got that notification on her phone as she said she was late to get a smartphone. If she sitting there on her phone on Facebook then she can Google SSW on her own device. Like anyone can buy that.
IMO the son-in-law perjured him self. The children are lying for their father as well. They accepted Lori right away. Poor Tammy having to live with people like them. Seems Emma was always keeping a close watch on everything her mother did. Cheating husband & backstabbing kids. Awful! They don’t even have respect for her after death. Prior isn't very familiar with court procedure. He's not a criminal trial lawyer. This is his first (and i'm sure only) death penalty case. He isn't even death penalty certified. He's a civil lawyer... people dying each other over property and things like that. He clearly doesn't know much about criminal trial. The judge has had to teach him proper behavior over and over.
