Have you seen the animé series called Made in abyss? Check it out if you haven't.. I think H.P was drawing on more than pure imagination and available lore.. great episode mate.
Great content. I mostly like most of the artistic depictions. However, as a sculptor, I note that none of these properly account for the biomechanics of doubled forearms and therefore would not actually work. In order for actual functionality to occur, the ulna of each would, of necessity, be shaped like an avien "wishbone" with counter rotating radii, thus bearing the carpels and metacarpels of the paws in oppositional configuration. This allows for each paw to be moved independently or in concert to any position. Similar gripes for most of the head designs as far as jaw functionality; inadequate skeleto-muscular structures to accomplish the mechanics for mastication.
@@Kneon_Knight Have one at 12th scale going in plasticine but will probably redo it in polymer clays and epoxy putties for a sturdier original from which molds can be done for reproduction. Ideals, I'll capture photos or video of the stages of construction of armature and the various stages of production
No mention of gug's crippling fear of ghouls? That's a major part of the lore. Speaking of lore, I would need a metric ton of citations and references, because there was A LOT in there I have never heard of and didn't ring true. Also, trying to say they had some real world parallels is pretty stupid. I need more than, "Big, hairy and scary" to think gug.
Awesome as always!😎
GUGS!!! Little known but eternally feared.
Excellent video!
Great video, didn't know much about the Gugs til now
So cuddly'n'cute, can I have one as a pet?
