Great video LeRoy! Thank you for the constant learning and being on water.
Thanks for the kind words just trying to help in any way I can!
Man that looks like a great kite! Any difference between the 2021 en 2022 model? Thanks!
this video is already an add but still splitted by more annoying UA-cam adds. Sad but this is what it is all about in these days...
BTW seems to be another good one strut kite on the market
Gonzo, Its a great kite... Trying to share information with others.. Have a great week.
Better late than never! Can you please post the weight of the kite in each size?
We will do our best when we get all the sizes needed to weigh them friend...
Awesome Video Damo 🤟❤️🙏
Thanks John! Hope you are well my brother...

@@Cabrinhakite All the love my brother! keep smiling......
Love it!!! I want one now!
So good!
I’d love to hear more about wind ranges for foiling. I see from the Cab website the 7m is rated down to 9knots which seems incredible. I got a 9m Slingshot UFO a couple of months ago cause there was no Cab option at the time
James the wind range is incredible... Honestly I was riding a 14m AV8 and my dear friend Jon was on the 1 strut 7m contra and there was no question it was around 8mph... There is a lot of skill involved in that light wind though, keep that in mind.....Honestly the 9m is magic! Can do it all! A really nice ride.... See if you can demo one from one of our Cabrinha dealers near you.
Good video of the kite flying characteristic. Can you provide some information on the bridle design pleas. Did Cabrinha got rid of the pulleys?
Adam, Have a look at www.Cabrinhakites.com
Bring on the no struts! What are they waiting for?
ahhhhhhh. :) Yew buddy!
Good video man!
Thank you! Its Gwen @plantpositivefilms. He is incredible at putting these videos together.
Hi I was really thinking about getting an UFO since I'm a almost intermediate foiler.
I'm 65 kilos riding a triton foil .
I want to ride 5-9 mph winds .
Been trying with my 9m Reedin, it will barely fly and next to impossible to get off the water .
What size is best for me 11 or 9?
I was told over 9 is not much better.
What do you think?
I think the 9m would do it as its very light in the sky and powerful but if you are looking for the lightest potential honestly the 11m or even the 13m 1 strut contra are incredible! I do believe you can ride in lighter winds with the 11m and or the 13m. If you go back to back 9m reeder vs 9m contra the contra will perform better in light winds.
Hello,
thank you for your video
I am 70 kg, in 11 to 15 knots, I have to take the 9 or the 11 m² thank you from France for your answer
It really depends on your ability! If you are a very advanced rider you can use a 9m no problem on a foil. A less advanced rider a 11m is a good choice to have a dive and go kite. A really great kite!
@@DamienLeroyUA-cam Thanks Damien,
I forgot to specify that I ride in twintip and freeride surf
I think 11 m² would be the best size
Pardon you have French origins by your name Leroy?
Friendships from France
@@nonofreerider840 I think the 11m would be the call friend. Its right on the edge but 11m would be safe. Have a great day!
Great review! I have a north reach 2020 quiver in 11/9/7. Thinking about adding a contra 1s 11m to have an option for light winds. I am starting to foil. I am 72 kg, would you recommend 11m to start or a smaller size? Thanks!
You will love the 11m it is mind blowing! Love it.....
Glad to see Cabrinha got in on the 1-strut kites, too bad they don't offer the 17m in 1-strut though.
Angus, Its a start lets see if it comes in the future... We will see friend...
For lighter winds on a lake what size one strut is good for someone that’s 82kg/180lbs using a twin tip?
Ozzy, I would go with the 3 strut 15m contra its magical for light winds. The one strut goes only up to a 11m and that would be an option but if its real light the 15m contra is magic! Have a great weekend....
How does bar pressure compare to Switchblades? Love my Switchblades but I'm starting to get elbow tendinitis so looking for a lighter bar pressure kite. I know you guys mentioned it but could you expand more on it? BP is really subjective-- i actually have heard ppl say Switchblades have medium light bp which makes me laugh. Thanks
Kevin, It is better than the SB for sure. I feel the Moto is even less. SB is high on bar pressure 100%
@@DamienLeroyUA-cam thanks Damien. Moto is definitely on my radar so I appreciate your BP comparison. I seriously love Switchblades and their always on tap power but my elbows are getting old. Thanks so much
@@kevinbradley9601 Sure thing friend! I am the same there is nothing like the SB but it does have high BP. But you always can get more out of that kite. Love that kite. North kites are really light bar pressure my brother. I would see if you can demo a Moto just to try it. It has not been light enough for some customers out there but I feel it is lighter and might be the perfect option for you!
I'm deaf and need the subtitles/captions to display correctly to watch. For some reason you guys have this video set up to only display Korea auto-subtitles. Please fix your settings. Thanks!
I checked and unfortunately it is a problem on UA-cam's side, captions are generated automatically and we do not have control over the languages available. Sorry!
@@DamienLeroyUA-cam Crazy. Your other videos are fine. Bummers. Ordered me a 1s Contra anyways based on the other videos I watched. 🤙
@@PaulGoingBig Your going to love it!
@@PaulGoingBig I got one and its bomb af. I've had crossbows, old school contras, drifter, and switchblades but this 1 strut is perfect for me and will def be the future once the engineering makes it as stiff as the 3 struts. Now lets see how durable it is. If it is durable, then this is definitely the kite of the future
@@JaradVonNguyen I agree. Mine is awesome and gets abused so hard because I'm doing fancy foiling tricks and know it's so easy to relaunch and screw up with.
8 mph relaunch, sure pal, I call BS
Going to have to try one yourself friend..
I got it the 11m up at 10mph but struggled heavily on a twintip. A constant 8mph should get a 9m up but I'd like to test it for myself
@@JaradVonNguyen Jared, how do you like it on a Twintip? Is it not very good?
