Thanks for watching and the positive comment.
It does what I wanted. Portable and does better on thinner metal.

I bought one of these for small jobs where I can’t get to my big ESAB. It works just fine. You can weld up to 3/16” without a problem once you learn how to do flux core welding. I recommend getting better wire though, either Lincoln or Hobart. If the wire says GS at the end it’s one pass. If it says 11, then it’s multi pass. For thicker work you might have to multitask, but that’s after you learn how to do this which will take a couple if spools and maybe 30 hours. The annual dies have good photos if beads, both good and bad and how to correct them, so READ IT! Seriously folks, don’t do what some people in UA-cam do and pretend you don’t need it. I’ve been doing this since 1973, designed and built commercial electronics and machinery and I still read manuals.

Thanks very much for the good information, Mel.
I have read the manual now and you are right, it has good information.
I have the AC buzz box still for thicker metal. I bought the diode pack for it to make it a DC, but I haven't installed it yet.
      Thanks again. Clint in Virginia.

I couldn't weld if a magic genie came out of a tin sleeve full of magic welding rods.
    tHanks for the video!

My welds may not be pretty, but they are strong. That's what's important.

Just got the same welder for $77. It was on the factory clearance table at my local harbor freight. Was marked@ 129.00 with additional 40% off for Black Friday.

That was a great deal Dave. Have you used it yet? If so, how did you like it?

Got to use it over the weekend. I'm either a better welder than I remember. I was from high school, or this machine makes me look good! I'm willing to bet it's the machine. Very impressed!

I was also Dave. I just try not to push such to hard. If someone spent money because of what I say and then didn't like it. That's bad.
The machine is so simple to operate it's surprising.
I see welding the same as riding a bicycle. You don't forget how.

I should pick one of those up. I need something for small simple projects.

I'm not an authority on them Smitty. Not enough amps for very thick steel. I'm happy with this so far and the price was right. It so simple it's stupid.

I bought this welder and had a question about the wire. I installed a 2 lb spool and I am getting down to the last of it. What happens when I get down to the last 12-18 in of wire? Will the wire feed keep cycling until it stops? Or will I have to clip it and just let it feed out the stinger?

I haven't finished the first spool yet. My guess is the end of the wire is fastened to the spool and it will stop feeding when it gets to that point.

Depends. Some are connected, but most aren’t. When it hits the drive wheel, it will stop.
