Aww stella is such a little beauty she is gorgeous.. its lovely to see the little isetta's out I think your red one is a more original one though keep showing those lovely micro cars Tony South Wales
Thanks for your video! And all over sudden you've made the greatest encyclopedia work for all the Isetta fans and for all car fans, now anyone can have a substantial evidence of the difference between the manufacturing... Thanks a lot!
I had a year old 1960 German Isetta when I was 18. It was fun to drive. My friend and I would sit on the top of the seatback with our heads out the sunroof. I could just reach the pedals and steering wheel from there. It was hilarious to us. Another dumbazz teenage thing we used to do is open door (it only has one, people) while driving down the street. My friend would then stand up in the door opening and wave to girls on the sidewalk as we went by. I could still steer just fine with the door open. I took good care of it, but it wasn't very reliable. I had two cylinders crack at the base. It also rolled once. Turning into a restaurant driveway at normal speed we skidded. It was Halloween night and some kids had poured engine oil on the street as a prank. The restaurant manager had one of his employees wash it down with water which make it 10X worse. We slowly skidded into the driveway, a front tire caught the curb and we went over in slow motion. Only damage was a dimple in the headlight housing.
How Nice are these funny cars, a realy precious gem from the time they used to produce state of the art cars, and these particulars ones were ahead of their time, surely were. Thanks for this Nice video and greetings from Brazil.
Great video, but so much more to say.........Very few of the differences you pointed out are actually Germany v British, mainly just the electrics and the very great bias for 3 wheels car in the UK. The small lights are not usually indicators but side running lights as most cars had 'pigs ear' indicators high, mid-way along each side (from the FX4 London taxi cab), There are also floor mounted ratchet handbrake leavers, All the UK cars I know have grab handles, there is a big mix of bumpers and 'bull bars', large and small headlamps, a mix of logos, inc. script, not all had badges, etc. etc. etc. big subject, someone should write a book on it. Nice video, enjoyed it.
Here in Finland Isettas, Messerschmitts, Heinkels and other such microcars were three-wheeled, so they could be registered as motorcycles, having lower taxation and license requirements.
Now we need to see if we can find a Spanish one. It is essentially the same as the original Italian 2-stroke model of which only about 1,000 examples were built.
Since I saw you Friday getting the semi obedience dot ready , no outbound loads till Monday.. just got home with ih travel all pickup box in 3 pieces , way fun seeing the action in my garage..
Stella? Ur dog, is a cutie pie. I'd be talkn to her all the time. U took the wind out of her sail going for a ride.😁 I'm not sure which one I like? I'd love to have either one! Cool machines! 🙌👍🇺🇸
My sister has a British built 3 wheeler isseta, built in Brighton sussex. I am a big guy and it is hard to get in the thing. We call this type of vehicle a bubble car.
Headlamps in the fifties could be General Electric Company sealed beams. Even Citroën 2cv had sealed beams in the USA. On the british made Car everylight of the rest is Lucas. The handbrake looks The same as on the Citroën Bijou, they said if came from a british made Ford.
Stellar the garage mascot isn't fussy be it German or English as long as she can ride along...correct me i could be wrong but isnt G.E known as General Electric 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. "Bundesabgasbespaßungsverbot" in German.
"including classics will be banned" - I find that very hard to believe. Classic cars make up a tiny percentage of emissions not to mention that they are almost certainly a multi-billion Euro industry in most developed countries. There are also millions upon millions of ICE vehicles around in any given country, they aren't going to disappear in 9 years. Full electric cars are still a luxury item that the vast majority of people can't afford. Many people can't afford a new car of any kind but rely on a car to work. Banning all ICE cars outright within ten years is not realistic. Is the Green Party in German actually a serious candidate to come to power? If not, like in the UK, they can say they'll do a million things but they all mean nothing if they don't stand a chance of being elected.
I'm sure it will be found to be completely unsustainable and crash the entire EU economy. We don't even begin to create enough electricity to sustain such an all-electric economy.
Loved seeing Stella at the wheel. Looked like she had been driving 😍

That's just a pipe dream bro
@@aborted4196 I was surprised to see a British one.
Your dog is so calm.
Much respect for educating us about the forgotten car past.
The turn signals on the British version appear to be the same as on Minis (the glass piece).
Thank You for the comparison. It was interesting!

I love them! Thank you for this channel.
I can relate to that. I'm a Vespa nerd.
Cool cars, nice video and a thumbs up.

front lamps of German iseta can be 2 brands bosh or hella = like comparing Vauxhall and Opel
Nice vid. We at home got a 1st generation BMW isetta (with the odd shaped windows)
In a car comparison on most other car channels, I would expect "both are four wheel cars" to be pretty obvious. Here, not so much. 😂
Poor old early 90s Subaru station wagon back there still waiting for a home!
I would have expected the English built Isetta to have right hand drive with the door hinges on the right. What’s with that?
Looks like my neighbors isetta and looks like my neighborhood but isn't.

Joe Lucas, the prince of darkness.
Those indicator lights were used on a multitude of British cars.
Okay the big question is why make two different cars that are quote unquote the same
Not many in the uk now
Probably the lucus electrics

I wonder how sketchy a predator 670 vtwin would be in an isetta
Cool 😀 Stella is cute
What does the "SP" on your license plate stand for?
Red one’s unrestored?
What is the embossed circle on the passenger side of the door for? Kinda looks like a blanked space for a key.
I think it is where the wiper is mounted on the RHD models :)
Sweet!
Are those 6 volt or 12 volt cars?
Both 12 volt.
the German also sits taller than the Brit,
My eyes are bleeding. Hand held cams sucks

That is nonsense!
@@2stroketurbo Don't believe it! That is nonsense! New regulations only concern new cars. And Isettas aren't even cars but lightweight vehicles!
