Hi, I'm 13 and i got my two strand twists done 3 or 4 days ago, and I'm glad i got them but i have 3 questions. 1 is, do you need to apply loc gel? If so how many times a week, 2, how do you separate short two stand twists with elastic bands cause apparently it makes them longer, 3, Do you absolutely need a durag to sleep with or is it "if you can"?

Hey thanks for commenting….. for your first question you shouldn’t use loc n gel or any other gel unless you getting a retwist 2 There is no need to use bands to stretch your hair because it’s going to shrink until your locs mature. 3 You don’t need to use a durag, but the purpose is to keep your locs protected and less causes unraveling and reduces frizziness..I hope this helps and any other questions I’ll be glad to answer. I have 4c type hair and my 2 strand twist starter locs are interloced can I let them unravel
I would not let them unravel because the two strands twist part has to mature into a loc as well
