The Leatt GPX 5.5 Enduro jacket is built for the hardcore offroad rider. Its light, tough, and water-resistant shell relies on Spandura stretch panels for the ideal balance between mobility and protection. The GPX 5.5 Enduro also uses Brush Guard fabric protection over the elbows. Its tailored cut works for off-road riding with or without body armor. Additional features include pre-curved, zip-off arms, rear reflectivity, and an internal hydration pocket with bladder suspension system.
I met a guy who had ridden, the entire Trans American Trail starting in Brazil wearing this Jacket/Pants for his trip. He was really happy with it.

This is an “enduro jacket for off road riders” but with a Forcefield long sleeve body armor shirt, how “streetable” is this compared to something like a Rev’it Sand 3?
The Sand 3 has slightly better abrasion resistance, but with body armor, you could wear this on the street just fine. -DrewZilla

What jacket(s) in the Klim lineup would you say this compares too? I was contemplating a Carlsbad but it’s still a tiny bit too bulky for my dual sport ride style. And can you add elbow armor to these jackets?
The GPX 5.5 is just an enduro/dual sport shell, so there aren't any armor pockets in it. The Klim equivalents are the 2015 and 2019 Dakar Jackets. However, the Dakars _DO_ have armor pockets for D3O. The Leatt is a bit lighter and has more stretch, though the 2019 Dakar comes closer to the Leatt's weight and stretch. -DrewZilla

Got to love a moto jacket from the kings of protection, with.....well, no protection.... To top it off, these jackets are slim fit, and you can't even fit bulky stand alone protection underneath without sizing up. wth? Might as well just wear a normal outdoorsy jacket.
Is there a nice Gore-tex jacket like this one which allows me to wear standalone armour underneath easily
Not with removable sleeves, but the Klim Traverse is specifically designed as a Gore-Tex enduro jacket to be worn over standalone armor. -DrewZilla
