I don’t know what I’m doing wrong! I followed everything step by step but soon as I record the input my white line to match the difference goes bananas! Please help!
Can anyone suggest software which allows the user to match the eq curve in realtime rather than capturing short snapshots like here? I'm looking for a way of exactly matching a reference track's many treble/mid/bass changes as they happen? Any advice would be great thanks :)
Just a quick question fellaz, when you combine 2 instruments it creates a multi-instrument.. how do you remove one of them ..cant seem to find a way ... tried instrument dropdown in the console and nothing .. > ?
I would say that it's because the source mic had a stronger signal from the start, if it had the same eq. Probably one of the mikes were farther or the channel had a greater gain.
no - for one you would need to match to u87 recording of the same vocalist singing the same thing and there's certain detail and nuance that mic picks up that digital processing cannot recreate
Definitely, there's more than one way to skin a cat, for sure, this was just a non destructive way of working that I figured some people might appreciate, as it's super easy to "restore" to the original clip. Cheers, M
Genius. This function might be a brilliant shortcut to getting as close as possible to a reference track. Thanks for posting this.
Man this plugin is unbelievable. Definitely my desert island EQ.
Thank you! Now This is a real tutorial! Some UA-camrs start lecturing and call it tutorial
Excellent clear tut about the EQ match functionality of Pro Q2, many thanks !

Thank you so much. Just what I needed
can u show me how to EQ match on cubase5??????
Nice lesson!! Does it mean that the loudness of both tracks should also match up before applying EQ match?

i think i actually found it ..lol but now you mention it cant remember loool yh get that video going ;)
can you tell me why the boost are so extreme after doing the eq match? (30 dbs) its making my entire mix clip
Not sure, but you can "offset" the boost/cut by lasso selecting all the nodes and using the gain (+or-) to offset. Hope this helps, Cheers, M

So i can borrow u87 and use this to use $99 condenser microphone sound like u87

Fab filter shit is great, but insanely expensive. I definitely prefer their plugins to waves stuff
this is hard on reaper :((
nice plugin but it took a while for the video to get started and then you sped through the actual matching...
could you of not just bounced the eq settings out with out going through the event effects

Ye completely agreed it is a fantastic way of doing things, i was just clarifying it for my own person progression
