Yeah it's sweet mate, you always have proper people on. My old boy is 78 so was around, out of Harlesden tough manor! All these chaps remind me of my dad and uncles etc. Joey wasn't too old when he went about 68, sad really but what a life. Is that Ronnie Oliffe on the right?
I believe Joey and Freddie Foreman were more or less the same level, guvnors of London. Joey was down to earth mate which belied his true power, he was low key but a serious fella.
The murder was in the Pen Club, they got off with GBH I think! It was Jimmy 'Trunky' Nash and Pyle who were facing the death penalty, Nash would fuck about with a little bit of cotton fashioned into a noose in Brixton nuts but staunch! My old man encountered Joe once or twice on a bit of business, they weren't pals though. He knew Fred a bit better, he respected them both though but wasn't too keen on Fraser or the twins.
@@cushtytv1006 just strange that the wrong people seem to get all the credit, like people believing to this day the twins "ran London". Power in a small area yes, not bright or skilled enough, got themselves lifed off through avoidable public killings.
Enjoyed that Joe, good to hear just a fraction of good that came from Joey Pyle, most know some of the more shady stuff but few probably know what a good heart the man had.
Unbelievable power this man contacts all over the world and a side to him that is not associated with gangsters hope you enjoy this interview 🤙
