@Woloh This is the type of song that tends to win the Eurovision, I bet you've noticed how many countries used similar stuff in all these years. I'm Romanian and don't like my own song either, I'll most likely vote for Serbia and Belarus because their songs are truly special and sound amazing.

@DoonM, you are mistaken. This is our belarusian folk instrument, cimbalom, or "cymbaly", as we call it in the Belarusian language. It is a kind of an instrument called dulcimer - a hammered dulcimer. Don't show your shallowness. Read about Belarusian folk musik instead.

This would have won if all the words would have been changed, into something more commercial. patriotism KILLS all changes of winning in multi-national competition. but I just LOVE the beat! Rocks as an instrumental verion!!!

I don't think there's anything wrong with celebrating one's home country, especially if it's done in such a fun way as this. I'm British, but when I hear this song, I love Belarus too XD
I Love Belarus does not glorify the Stalinist criminal president Lukashenko, but rather the Belarusian people. This studio production even better than the Eurovision presentation because there are the Belarusian folk-dancers too. Vinnikova does a great job - the whole thing is #1. Unfortunate coincidence of jailing of democratic Belarusian presidential-contender Saanikov, but doesn't change the wholesome value of I Love Belarus!

I hate this contest of Eurovision (sometimes it look like a Circus Song Contest) but this song is very good, and i am not shocked that it did't pass to the final (it's not he first time that eurovision "don't" want some nice songs.

Some argue that the majority of countries will understand the lyrics when they are sung in English but not many would if she sung in Belarusian... There is no need to understand the lyrics, the song is what matters and this song is UH-MAZING! xD

Oh, really? I even didn't speak about politics there. And if you are not living there, you also don't know anything. The contest is about music, not how we like presidents of countries. The song itself doesn't promote totalitarism not in any word. And I don't see any connection between country I live in, soviet Russia, Lukashenko and this song for Eurovision 2011.
