Where average teen kid (except Yuji was athletic and strong to begin with, just a huge nerd and didn’t care much for the talents he had) gets infected with the special stuff the show is about and uses the power he gets to fight the evil with it. Except in this one the evil thing inside of him has his own extreme sentience and malicious intent as he is the king of all curses. And the more of this power Yuji intakes the more power this being inside of him has regained from his previous life. And with that power he took over Yuji’s body during a critical moment in all the main characters lives as it was next to war happening. The being killed thousands of innocent people just to have a light sparring match with a couple of beings who thought they were hot shit. And when Yuji woke up from the aftermath. He started seeing everyone close to him dropping like flies. All as the being doing it (a different being from the me inside of him) was mostly toying with him to prove how much stronger he’s gotten. Even though it’s not all that much stronger. It just has more of an understanding of what it’s capable of. Watch the JuJutsu Kaisen movie. It’s canonically the first thing to watch unless you wish to watch the first half of season 2 to get some back story of a few main characters first. As I say I’ve kept it short and threw in just enough so that you can hopefully understand what the commenter is referring to as an outside party. It takes everything you know about Shonen anime and throws it back in your face. “I’m going to monologue for 80 seconds to explain my ability, but jokes on you. This is BEAUTIFUL. From the message, the mixing, and the feelings in everyone's voices as they rap/sing, everything in this song came together amazingly, and left us with this masterpiece. Favorite part is that I can tell that it's using Yuji as a metaphor, and not just about Yuji himself. Love it when people do that in nerdcore, it brings such a personal feel to the music. Stan played in the car the other day, and i haven't heard that song in over a year, and it still cuts deep, this song hit me in a way that hurt, but the pain was needed. When my grandfather passed away, i went into his work shop and called out his name, but no one answered. For the first time in 25 years, no one answered. That line broke me. i love all your music but recently this and the batman raps have been at the top of the rotation because of how much emotional weight you put into them. there's such raw desperation in that whole first section and the way it builds to the lines "and the air is getting thinner like you breathing in a casket" is phenomenal the delivery on the word casket like you're out of breath by the end and struggling to get it out is just so freaking good man. it's a feeling I've known and can relate to heavily so it really hits hard and legit brings tears to my eyes. you're an amazing artist dude.

This whole song is beautiful, but the beginning really encapsulates how real people probably felt in the classrooms after a horrific day, and then the breathing trying to call names of lost one but you know they won’t answer. Truly a wonderful masterpiece that blends real problems and the jjk narrative.

This song hits so different, and I can tell that it means so much to you. The emotion in this is so thick you can cut it with a knife, and I'm here for it. You can feel the pain at the start, the longing for the friend that you lost all those years ago. The tone switch at the end is so satisfying to hear. There's a few songs of yours that I've been dying to work on as far as singing and rapping along with...this one is on that list.

The entire genre in general helps me get through my day, but your drops are ones I actively work on rapping along with cause I love the style. Your old Kirishima rap is one I still fuck with and work on to this day because the character himself and your portrayal of him in that song is something that resonated with me then and still today. Dude...This was perfect! You captured the true essence of what the Shibuya Arc was conveying to the viewers!! The absolute despair, misery, helplessness and strife all sorcerers fighting against curses have to stuff down inside while they battle on to help those around them and try to survive while doing it; All while out numbered. My heart sank when looking at all the awesome characters we lost and who were injured.. as well as poor Yuji forced into a corner of despair and rage. Marvelous job, DPS!!
This is the perfect yuji song and I love it. Throughout Shibuya he was mentally beaten down until he had reached his breaking point and almost gave up which ties into the first verses where it’s about the people he never imagined actually dying, fading away before his eyes, while the final verse is charged by anger to not give in and to fight back. Couple that with a beautifully crafted chorus and this is without a doubt in your top 3 for most emotionally charged song, along with Dabi, and broly. That aside I heard about your personal story for this rap and this track must’ve been hard to make at times and to bring out those emotions after so long. I could feel the pain in those words and how important this was to you personally and I admire how strong you are to keep on going and to use that emotion to fuel your music to make amazing art. So thank you for making this song, it’s a masterpiece, and it’s an insanely strong start to 2024.
Yuji gets tortured by Gege, this fits him too well in this arc; everyone loses somebody or something that means a lot to them, it’s a common aspect of what it means to be human: we should cherish the ones we hold close and share memories with, because they’re never going to stay forever. I love how this song parallels the previous sukuna song which was more upbeat with the beats representing how sukuna was like in the shibuya arc. While this song is more mellow and slower representing how low yuji felt. I also liked how as the song progressed, it went from a song talking about how depressed yuji felt, and near the end it turned into a song about yujis anger and how he snapped in the arc. Your old Kirishima rap is one I still fuck with and work on to this day because the character himself and your portrayal of him in that song is something that resonated with me then and still today. The absolute despair, misery, helplessness and strife all sorcerers fighting against curses have to stuff down inside while they battle on to help those around them and try to survive while doing it; All while out numbered. This is the perfect yuji song and I love it. Throughout Shibuya he was mentally beaten down until he had reached his breaking point and almost gave up which ties into the first verses where it’s about the people he never imagined actually dying, fading away before his eyes, while the final verse is charged by anger to not give in and to fight back. Couple that with a beautifully crafted chorus and this is without a doubt in your top 3 for most emotionally charged song, along with Dabi, and broly.
That aside I heard about your personal story for this rap and this track must’ve been hard to make at times and to bring out those emotions after so long. I could feel the pain in those words and how important this was to you personally and I admire how strong you are to keep on going and to use that emotion to fuel your music to make amazing art. I've been on this path of self improvement and building growth in all aspects of my life for a long time now. I really needed this song, I feel it's so relatable and keeps me in that necessary mindset. I love how this song parallels the previous sukuna song which was more upbeat with the beats representing how sukuna was like in the shibuya arc. While this song is more mellow and slower representing how low yuji felt. I also liked how as the song progressed, it went from a song talking about how depressed yuji felt, and near the end it turned into a song about yujis anger and how he snapped in the arc. Banger as always DPS
