I just realized while watching this that Ray and Giyuu's age line up almost perfectly for this. Ray was twelve in TPN and Giyuu was about 13 when he started his training and met Sabito, which means that Giyuu would have had to go through TPN and lose Tsutako and Sabito if this AU was canon.
