I like how you are approaching the backdrop. I just have a temporary photo I printed out at work ( I work at print shop) and mounted it to foam core. I really like the painting work you have done. Thanks Mike.
I enjoy watching your videos I have for years. On top of enjoying your layout you give me a lot of ideas and insight to other things that I am doing. Keep up the good work.😊
Love it Mike. Your details are amazing. The last 4 have been great. Cant wait to see how this steam era is going to go. My favorite... keep up the good work and dont hurt yourself..
During my years of "armchair model railroading", I always wondered how I'd tackle getting purchased backdrops customized exactly as you are doing. Great fun to watch you do this.
Looking good. Idea for the backdrop by the spray booth. Can you detach it completely from the wall and slide it to the new position, than cut it where it overlaps the existing backdrop. That way you won't need to try and re-bend it.
Wonderful Mike, you are quite a good painter and the back drops look great. One question about the new track plan though, I thought on the previous one that you said the yard was too big and the hidden track was too one and that it took.too long to run..but the new looks like it still has a huge yard and long hidden track...glad you made the lower bench work higher though, it will make it that much easier to get under, that's for sure. Keep up the good work and I'll look at today's now too.
So Mike could be interesting to see the new layout plan drawing out on the bench work but I do have one question, when you start nearing completion of this railroad will you rip it out and start a number six?
Great update, your painting skills are fabulous! Do you not use/plan to use some type of layout design software so you can print 1-1 and tape to plywood to ensure accurate and don't need to cut out cardboard templates?
Great update Mike! Lots of progress there. I wonder what it would look like if you just left the backdrop alone or maybe just cut it off even at the end of the layout? Anyway, looking forward to more updates. :)
Hi Mike… your moving full steam ahead as always. Looking forward to watching this build, whats happening with all the Kato Unitrack ? Now that your switching to flex…..take care Joe
Hello Mike ! A lot of problems in your mind I see ! I'm not worried, you will find the better solution. Apologize for my English, not at all very fluently.
Steady progress. Great job on the backdrops. Thanks for sharing. Dave
Thanks Dave

The old yard was way too wide with Kato track and behind the main line. The lower track here is 90% visible.
Thanks so much , Mike
Interesting, interesting, track plan! 😮
Thanks
I like it , your yard is where you can work on trains
There will be switching there, for sure
So Mike could be interesting to see the new layout plan drawing out on the bench work but I do have one question, when you start nearing completion of this railroad will you rip it out and start a number six?
Maybe !!!
You are on a roll. Awesome detail before gettig too deep. Guess you've done this a couple times 😮😂.
About 25 or so. Yep
Looks good, keep poking at it.. Bob
I will Bob.
Why did you not pre drill the stringers to run the wires through? Anyway good progress and looks like another good layout.
Because then if you need to move or remove a stringer the wires are trapped in the stringer.
😊😊😊

I will not print 1 to 1 it is too much trouble. Thanks , Mike

Thanks Mark. I think I will just have to see how it goes.
