- On my recent trip to Umrah in Feb 2019, I tried out the return train journey from Makkah to Madinah. I vlogged my journey for you guys, to show you what the facilities are like and also to capture my experience.

I lived in Makkah for 19 year but never had experienced this train but insha Allah I'm going to Umrah this year and will try this

Make a firm intention and start the process of going (save up money etc) and rely on Allah 100% and have full confidence that He will take you to Umrah/Hajj and watch how you will go soon. inshaa Allah

Haramain train website only shows fare in Saudi local currency SAR.
Unfortunately my Visa Card only accept prices in USD.
How to solve this problem?

Loving the beard brother👍.In my opinion,the train is good and all but i think the old fashioned way is the best(The long bumpy road in a broken car).I feel like going the traditional way can make you think about how our nabi used to travel and it makes you a bit more appreciative of the advancements we have now.

As salaamu aliekum brother, would you recommend entering the state of ihram before boarding the train in Madinah or later on? I will be traveling with my 8 month old so slightly worried if he gets me messy lol JazakAllahu khair for any info
Walaykumasalam brother. For ease I would put on the Ihram from the hotel in Madina that way its all taken care of and you can focus on your family. Once you get on the train they will announce when the mikes is coming up and then you can make your Niyah (intention). If you don't want to do that then you can put the Ihram on in the train.

A) From Masjid Nabvi to the train station - how much is the taxi fare
B) what is the luggage allowance you can carry with on the train . For example : 1 large and 1 carry on per person ?
C) Do you have to buy the tickets at the train station
D) Does the train go to Jeddah Airport

A - I took bus which cost 5 riyals. Taxi may cost 15-30 Riyals - best to check with Taxi driver
B - 1 Large Luggage and 1 Hand Luggage
C - Can be bought at the station or online.
D - No. Both Makkah to Madina and Madina to Makkah stops at Jeddah Station. Jeddah station to Jeddah airport is around 25min car ride away.

Please make a video on using the "Bus System" to get to the train stations or in general the Bus System in Madinah and Makkah if possible. I've seen them taking to Masjid Quba or Uhud or Airport and would be beneficial on the next trip. Which Bus # did you take to get to the station and location from Haram that is close to the Gate # Pickup station - Great videos . Always waiting for a new one.

My parents and I are going to umrah in January insha'Allah. Our first stop is Madinah so we would like to take this train to Makkah. How does meeqat work if you are taking train? Must you be in ihram before boarding?
Yes you would need to wear the ihram before boarding. They do announce the meerkat on the train

Yes finally. A lot has been going on so couldn't upload. But inshaa Allah I'm back. I've got lots of videos on tips etc. My main tips are, quite social media for the moment you leave your house until your return. Have sabr. Enjoy every second. Do lots of tawaf. Lots of astaghfar and Durood. Feed people. Spread Salam

How much was the train fare brother both business class and normal?
How much did it cost brother and do you recommend with children age 8+. We normally travel by coach but this means of transport experience seems cool.
The cost for Economy is around £33 one way and business class is around £50. I would recommend the train esp with kids age 8+. Its more relaxing and quicker.
Salam brother - what is the maximum amount of luggage that you are allowed to bring? Can you pay for extra? I've read online that it's one, but coming from Canada, we are allowed 2 pieces of luggage + 1 carry on. Was wondering if this would be accomodated, otherwise I'll arrange other travel. Jazak Allah.
Walaykumasalam, as far as I am aware and from what I saw you can bring One big luggage and one hand luggage. In my Economy vlog i did recovered the luggage allowance board. Unsure how strict they are re this. There is security at the station but again unsure if they check how many bags per passenger or just standard security risk.
Inshaa Allah next time I go I will get these questions answered.

Hey there from Singapore, wanted to know, the luggage allowance is a large luggage, 30kgs and a handcarry luggage 7kgs right? In your video I noticed the passengers were seen carrying only small luggages..

how much was taxi to haram from station and can u buy ticket for train in madina ?
Taxi from Makkah hotel to Makkah station was around 30 riyals. I got the bus from Madina station to the haram for 5 riyals. Also got the same bus back from Madina Haram to Madina Station. Taxi back from Makkah station to my hotel was 50 riyals which i thought was a rip off but I had to pay as there was no buses to the Haram. Not sure if they have started yet. You should be able to buy tickets from the stations in Makkah or Madina. you can also book online.
