@Ashleigh Burton Kirsty Alley was in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, which is arguably the best Start Trek movie and one of the top 100 movies of all time.
@@awkwardashleigh She did not like her time in Star Trek. The Wrath of Khan ('82) was supposed to be her break out movie. When the next film was preparing to be made, The Search for Spock, Alley demanded to be paid equal to the other Trek actors like Shatner and Nimoy. She was fired and replaced. Took until '88 before she starred in another movie due to the bad reputation she earned for making this demand.
Oh just FYI Ashleigh, there was a credit scene you missed because you were grossed out. The movie ends with the birth of Mikey's new sister and we get to hear her voiced by Joan Rivers.
Look Who's Talking Too is certainly worth a watch just to see how James and Mollie's relationship develops, plus the banter of Roseann and Bruce Willis as the voices of the kids is pretty damn cute
While the idea of casting Roseanne Barr as the voice of Mikey's sister was interesting, I had no desire to see TOO (or any of the sequels truthfully) because being a purist, I couldn't get around the fact that her voice had already been provided by Joan Rivers at the end of the first movie.

Drop Dead Gorgeous is absolutely hilarious and you should watch just for the fun of it. Kirstie Alley’s character has always reminded me so much of the mom of a girl I grew up with it’s spooky.

"It could be lunch meat, it could be peaches. The point is this, just because it's free don't mean it's no good" is my favorite line. I used to say it all the time.
RIP Kirsty Alley. She was also Lt. Saavik in Star Trek II The Wrath Of Khan. She was going to reprise the role in Star Trek III but got pregnant and had to drop out. Robin Curtis played Saavik in Star Trek III and IV. Alley was also in the hit sitcom CHEERS which ran from 1982-1993.
Yeah both played that role amazingly. Different yes but still amazingly great. Kirstie's Saavik really felt a lot more inexperienced and Robin's Saavik felt more matured, which after the events of ST2 makes sense. And we almost would have seen Saavik in Star Trek VI too but Roddenberry was absolutely against the changes about the character. Which is why the new character of Valeris was created.
They actually wanted her to reprise that role for ST6, but by then she was on "Cheers" and they said she wanted too much money. So, they created the Kim Catrell character.
Kirstie Alley was great in 'Runaway' with Tom (Magnum PI/Blue Bloods) Selleck & Gene (Kiss) Simmons...she was great in 'Summer School' with Mark (St. Elsewhere/NCIS) Harmon...she was great in 'Sibling Rivalry' with Scott (Quantum Leap/Enterprise/NCIS New Orleans) Bakula & Bill (Spaceballs, Independence Day) Pullman...and she was great in 'For Richer Or Poorer' with Tim (Home Improvement/Santa Clause/Last Man Standing) Allen. 😁
Kirstie Alley’s best work was as Virgillia in the civil war epic mini series North and South 1 & 2. Such a range of emotions and depth of performance. She was a great talent and she will be hugely missed. RIP.
She played the most interesting character in the series and was so beautiful. Look Whos Talking is so cringe worthy. For a funny movie I liked For Richer Or Poorer with Kirstie and Tim Allen, hated by critics, loved by the audience.
She was pretty good in Sins of the Past, a TV Movie in which she gets done in by Kim Cattrall, a highly confusing instance of Auburn-on-Auburn/Vulcan-on-Vulcan violence for a teenage boy to witness.
It's funny, because she's right, but also wrong at the same time. I mean long distance calls were only classified as such because of extra cost. Now that we use cellphones that don't charge for it, we really don't even classify them that way. It's just a call.
Drop Dead Gorgeous is hilarious, so funny I have some sound bites from it on my computer. Hank - "I know who da winner is, I know who da winner is, Harold! I know who da winner is!" Hank - "Help Hank! Help Hank! Help, help, help!" Hank - "Are we on Cops? Are we on Cops? Are we on Cops Harold? Are we on Cops?" Cameraman - "Fucking beauty queens blowing chunks everywhere. I've, I've never seen anything like it before...and I live in LA." Loreta - "Oh, are we on Cops again?"
This is one of those movies that when I watched it again as an adult I was like 'Why did my mama think it was okay for 6-year-old me to watch this over and over again?" I also ask this question with a lot of the movies that I used to watch with my mama all the time. Anyways. That being said. If you do watch more Kristie Alley movies two of my favorites from her were FOR RICHER OR POORER with Tim Allen and IT TAKES TWO with the Olsen Twins.
Because it took you until you were an adult to even notice the mature content in it. I also watched this a lot as a kid because my mom loved it, and simply didn't understand all of the adult context of the film. I just thought it was funny when the babies were talking. 🤷 I thought that was the ENTIRE point of the movie. It's amazing what goes over kids' heads. That's one thing that made the older Simpsons episodes so great, they're full of incredibly clever and sneaky mature jokes that kids and even some adults wouldn't understand because of the amount of thought that goes into them.
People say that Pulp Fiction brought Travolta back into pop culture but they forget about this movie. This was the role that really got people talking about him after he had been long forgotten.
Honestly in the industry him doing this movie was seen as ' oh my god look at what he is doing now ! " , It actually hurt his career more then anything. Tarantino totally gave John a new life.
@@andysalter7192 Were you even alive and able to sere it in the movies? I'm really curious. At the time, Travolta was nowhere to be seen. He was completely out of the public mindset as an actor. This was his first large market movie and it got everyone talking again. He had done a few smaller films which got his foot in the door but after this role, he was back on the celebrity train again. He was on the talk shows, news highlights and other places. I would even venture to guess that Tarantino might not have even had his mind on Travolta if he hadn't done this movie as he was forgotten until then. Once Pulp Fiction came out,. he was a permanent A-Lister for many years but Look Who's Talking was a large success for Travolta. I was 16 at the time and his name was everywhere after that.
@@cchavezjr7 yeah I saw Pulp fiction the week it came out , not because I was into Tarantino but simply due to Uma Thurman on the poster ! It was a Friday afternoon and I had a few hours to kill before meeting friends to go out and get drunk , I walked out of that cinema a changed man! I became obsessed with Art house cinema and anything that was not " normal " in Cinema. And yes Travolta instantly became A list . It only lasted till the end of the 90s but he had a massive comeback.
@@andysalter7192 I was the same way with Pulp Fiction and loved it. Lately though, the past year or so when I've watched it, it hadn't aged well in my opinion. I know that's blasphemy but it just is what it is, hehe
10:40 Well, I mean, _sure,_ giving birth is disruptive for the _mother._ Especially the first _time._ She's never _done_ it before. But I figure it's _also_ got to be disruptive for the _kid._ Imagine what it's like for _him._
I remember after this movie came out, I read a factoid slide about Look Who's Talking at the theater while I was waiting for another movie to start. It said that in the original cut of the movie, Mickey did not have a voice, he was a regular baby/toddler and the movie was a pretty boring romcom. The studio wasn't going to release it. Then one of the producers came up with the idea of having the babies talk. They hired Bruce Wilis, who was in a very popular comedy series called Moonlighting at the time to record the voice o f the kid in post production, and that's how this film gor a theatrical release.
Drop dead gorgeous is definitely more of a cult classic where as Look Who's Talking was definitely more popular and mainstream. You definitely need to watch Drop Dead Gorgeous as well
18:10 I have a very specific, bizarre sense of humor and "Hey, it's the Bear show!" was one of the funniest things I've ever scene for whatever reason. I still crack up at that part.
Ashleigh, calm down. That’s how all babies look. Loved my son the moment he came into my life. You gotta calm down though youngster. That’s how you look liked. Still love watching you. Keep up the great work
When George Segal passed away last year I suggested several of his films. So this is both a Kirstie Alley and a George Segal memorial viewing. Other George Segal films you might consider: _The Hot Rock_ (1972) a heist comedy, also starring Robert Redford. _No Way to Treat a Lady_ (1968) a crime thriller, co-starring Lee Remick and the great Rod Steiger. _Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?_ (1966) adapted from Edward Albee's Tony-winning play, directed by Mike Nichols and co-starring Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, and Sandi Dennis. A riveting drama, and perhaps Taylor's best work.
There is an installment of this series where the kids are old enough to talk and function on their own and they get pet dogs who do the talking, and it’s Danny Devito and Diane Keaton voicing the dogs and that’s one to definitely watch if the baby stuff grosses you out.
I’m still not over that Kirstie Alley passed away. She was such a huge part of my childhood! Love these “look who’s talking” movies the most but she has been in so many , like you said “drop dead gorgeous” but also a scary movie “village of the damned” she was good in that as well.
I was born with a conehead so big that the nurse had to use a vacuum to pull me out. No joke, part of my skull was detached from my head temporarily. It looked like a dangling alien head in my grandparents' home movie. It went to normal after 24 hours. If this movie grossed you out with coneheads, you would've went full-on Sigourney Weaver at a toilet seeing something like my situation! LOL!
This gave John Travolta his career resurgence and caused him to get his part in Pulp Fiction. It was a hit when it came out. The other two are a talking baby girl then talking dogs. The sequels you can miss nothing but what the movie just did. It was hilarious in 9th grade when I seen it in theaters. Also Bruce Willis was fresh off Die Hard and Moonlighting that might've helped it's popularity. She also needs to watch Saturday Night Fever to get the reference in this movie
I would say that, while yes this gave him a boost in his big screen revival, there was plenty between this and Pulp Fiction to earn him that role. He was already cemented as an established acting icon by then. Granted, the movies themselves were not all so epic. Loved him in "Phenomenon", "Face Off", and "Broken Arrow" to name a few. The movies themselves ranged from cheesy to forgettable, but his performance was always top notch.
Bruce Willis was the highest paid voice actor for this film. He originally turned down the salary they offered. Only asked for 10% of the grossed sales. Got paid a little over $10 million.
I deeply miss Kirstie Alley. Ad a kid i had SUUUUCH a crush on her because she reminded me a lot of a girl who lived next door and whom i often hung out with. This movie cracked me up so much because it was also dubbed pretty well. My favorite gag is still when Kirstie's character accidentally got a wooden splinter in her finger and John tries to get it out and Kirstie's mother outside of the door has her "head cinema" going wild at what she hears outside xDD
It’s not the most Kirstie Alley-centric movie, but the best movie she was in was Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. It has some back story, but you can figure it out without having seen the show, and definitely don’t need to see the first Star Trek movie. Nichelle Nichols died back in July and you never watched a Star Trek movie to see her. Although I think she probably had her most lined in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.
I'm pretty sure the beginning of this movie led to many many parents giving "The Talk" to a bunch of us 90s kids... I know I had a lot of questions for my dad lol
Before she was famous, Kirstie appeared as a handmaiden on an old sci-fi comedy series in 1978 called "Quark", she was uncredited. Then in 1979 she appeared on the gameshow Match Game as a contestant, she then appeared on another gameshow in 1980 as a contestant on Password Plus. In 1981 she starred in the easily forgotten film "One More Chance" before landing her breakout role in 1982's "Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan" as Lt. Saavik, a Vulcan. She appeared in several films and tv shows after that, the movies "Summer School" and "Blind Date" were funny and worth watching, and of course her time on the sitcom "Cheers". RIP Anyway, loved the review, love you and tell Beans hi 👋
For the most part, Kirstie Alley was a babe, though she did have weight problems for many years after having kids, and was a spokesperson for a weight loss product (Slim Fast?). I think she also had a drug problem for a while (few people in Hollywood don't), but she cleaned herself up, and made somewhat of a comeback.
It was also pretty much quiting drugs that caused the weight gain. She used cocaine to stay skinny. Of course it could also be seen as trading one addiction for another.
Good thing you weren't born in the 50s. Nobody thought twice about smoking around newborns then. In fact, when my mother was pregnant with me, she smoked so many cigarettes and drank so much coffee that my dad told her I would probably come into the world with a cigarette in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other.
15:28 - That's kind of a double-reference. Dr. Benjamin Spock was a famous pediatrician who wrote many books, most famously "Baby and Child Care," which sold 50 million copies. But also, Kirstie Alley's big break in Hollywood was in the film "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan," where she played Lt. Saavik, the young half-Vulcan half-Romulan, and Spock was her mentor.
I may have gotten a little high while watching this video and when your Siri went off and you didn’t even notice, I died. II had to pause the video and couldn’t stop laughing for ten minutes. 😂😂😂
Kirstie Alley played Saavik in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. What's curious is that Saavik is half-Vulcan, Vulcan's are famously known for suppressing their emotions, yet she cries during Spock's funeral. Saavik is also half-Romulan, which could explain her emotional reaction. Kirstie Alley was replaced in Star Trek III.
Dr. Benjamin Spock was a pediatrician who published a famous child care book in the 1940's, which became one of the biggest selling books of the 20th century, and had a significant influence on parenting.
“They look like potatoes”. That’s nicer than what I thought out loud around a friend’s baby when they asked who I thought they looked like. “Gollum” was apparently not the answer they were looking for.
Funny you say that, because Andy Serkis when seeing the final design for Gollum (after they redesigned him to look more like Serkis and match the performance better) was that it looked like a cross between his dad and his newborn son.
I remember in 3rd grade we had a movie day, so I brought this tape in. I saw the teachers murmuring since the start, and they finally pulled the tape out and put in Peter Pan after Kirstie Alley called the guy and a-hole after he didn’t let her take the cab.
I recently rewatched Peter Pan with my toddler and I had to skip the whole "Indian camp" scene that features a song called "what makes the red man red" 😬 yikes! I think I'd be more comfortable with her watching Look Who's Talking lol 😂
My first exposure to Kirstie Alley was Star Trek II. My Grandpa was a huge Star Trek fan. When my mom was going to nursing school I would spend after school days with my grandparents and there was always Star Trek or a Western on the TV. The next time I saw her was Cheers in 1987.
Fun watching you watch this movie. I really loved it when it came out, but I don't think it ages very well. Glad you did it anyway. Loved your facial reactions at certain parts. I hope Drop Dead Gorgeous makes it in another poll. You rock, as always!
Kirstie Alley is gorgeous. Amazing bone structure. She has that beautiful evil fairytale stepmother look. Love this blast from the past. Such a fun movie and concept.
20:09 The song you love, "Staying Alive", is John Travolta's strutting song from his big debut hit, "Saturday Night Fever." It's an inside joke...but only if you know that. I adore how your channel is you reacting to movies in reverse order! 😁
In my opinion, Kristi Alley's best work was in The Last Don and the sequel. It was a Mini Series about a Mafia family with a dark secret and she played the daughter of The Don. Her range of acting was just so emotional and heartfelt. Highly Highly Highly recommend!
Madhouse with Kirstie Alley and John Lauroquette (sp?) Is a fun film that I do enjoy watching when the opportunity arises. I don't think anyone has done a reaction to it as well
@@timvanarsdel I grew up in a veterinarian household and have seen some shit, yet I don't want to imagine any sperm puppetry happening in my body either 😈
Another great reaction, Ashleigh. It's a pity that 'Drop Dead Gorgeous' didn't win the poll as it's a far better film in my opinion. A bit of trivia, the song that you commented on and said that you liked is from a film called 'Saturday Night Fever' which starred John Travolta.
The Song "Staying Alive" was an inside joke. It was the movie theme song for "Saturday Night Fever" which was the movie that made John Travolta a star.
My Mum used the beginning of this film to explain to me when I was 5 where babies come from. She’d just gotten pregnant with my sister. Hey it worked & she explained it really well.
my Memory of this was me being in 4th or 5th grade and the teacher thought it would be ok for us to watch it. Also this was part of a trend right up there with Muppet Babies, Boby's World, Flintstone Kids , Rug Rats, Baby Geniuses , Baby Loony Tunes , Son of the Mask, Three Men and a Baby, Baby's Day Put and many others this film series has 3 movies in it and always some sort of talent. John Travolta movie shout outs ' Saturday Night Fever Grease Pulp Fiction Get Shorty Austin Powers in Goldmember Wild Hogs Old Dogs
Madhouse has such a bad rep and I honestly don't know why. I mean it's a cringy 90s comedy like so many of them for the most part- but again, other movies are too and yet they are absolutely beloved. I love the couple's relationship in that movie and how they can rely on each other no matter how severely shit hits the fan. Plus John Larroquette is a snack and I'm always happy to see him in positive roles where he doesn't turn out to be an asshole in the end!
@@adrianaheiler9794 I remember watching it a lot as a kid, it was hilarious, but then never saw it again. I even forgot the title until recently, but it was sure fun. And yes, John Larroquette in this film could get it! 😆
Dr. Benjamin Spock wrote the famous book on parenting: " The Common Sense Book on Baby and Child Care." It had sold 50 million copies between 1948 and the time of his death in 1998.
All due respect to Kirstie and this film, as fun as it was, I would tend to agree that her best work was in Cheers. Having said that, I do respect the tradition of having a film showcasing the recently departed, what Im missing is why nothing was said about Olivia Newton John who died last August? Particularly when there is such an obvious film to review, Grease(1978), unless of course Ashleigh has already seen it? Which of course also brings us back to the topic of John Travolta, both as the co-star in Grease and of course the star of both Saturday Night Fever(1977) and its sequel Staying Alive(1983) which made big use of the music of the Bee Gees, who performed the song Staying Alive which you said you liked so much. Interesting how these things turn over time and link back up.
Great movie. While not the best, I knew this would be right up your alley, and I was in for a great reaction. If you want a phenomenal Kirstie Alley movie though, try 1990's "Madhouse" with John Larroquette. I don't know if you'll be able to find it on a streaming service (it flew WAY under the radar), but it's worth the search (some VPN magic). It is one of my comedy favs of all time. Just good-natured, fall-down-on-the-floor laughter from A to Z.
Yes, yes, I will throw in my vote for Madhouse too! I rewatch this movie on the regular. The two main characters have the most wholesome relationship and it's always heartwarming to see how they interact even with all the nonsense going on around them! 😍
They turned Look Who's Talking into a tv sitcom. It was called Baby Talk. George Clooney was in it. He wanted out after the first season. It was one of the very first shows Phil Rosenthal worked on, the creator of Everybody Loves Raymond.
The Law of Irony dictates that Ashleigh WILL become a mother when she least prepares for it, and when she has a baby, she will wonder how she ever lived without him/her.
Having your own kid is not as gross as watching everyone else's kids. It's kinda like when you watch someone take their dog for a walk and they pick up the dog poop, it looks really disgusting. But if you take your own dog for a walk you don't really think about it. Having your own kid is kinda the same way, it becomes less gross because it's your own kid.
11:57 Russ Meyer was a filmmaker who specialized in openly trashy films with a lot of, well, as you said, tig ol’ biddies. 15:33 Dr. Benjamin Spock was a pediatrician who wrote a book called “The Common Sense Book of Baby and Child Care” which pretty much became a Bible for new parents. 20:12 This is probably an inside joke. First shot of the movie “Saturday Night Fever,” which made John Travolta a big star, featured him walking down a street in New York with this song in the background. 27:20 As I remember, this movie did have a post-credits scene; you should go back and see it. This movie spawned at least two sequels - don’t see them.
The Russ Meyer reference is a bit "inside Hollywood." I was an adult when I saw this film & I probably didn't know who he was (that came later). And we didn't have the internet for reference way back then.
@@d3l3tes00n Nothing of that changed the way i looked at her. I only had a problem with her being at Scientology which i blame Travolta for. A lot of other hollywood celebrities did way worse than her.

I had a date to see this movie. My friend was a baseball fan and because *BOTH* local teams were playing each other in the World Series she wanted to record the game so she could watch it when we got back. Just as she hit the record button several things happened. The TV went all screwy, it felt like she kicked my chair, and we heard the announcers on TV (We could still hear them, but not see them) say, "We're having an Earth Quake. About that time I could feel the shaking. It was much bigger than a normal quake, so we got in the doorways. Scary AF. We didn't see the movie at that time, but they also canceled the game. The 1989 World Series is probably the Championship game that has saved the most lives. The Earthquake hit right at commute time, and if not for the game, the Cypress freeway (that collapsed) would have had way more people on it when it fell down. I saw this live ua-cam.com/video/Z8ExMR0c0aM/v-deo.html
Look Who's Talking Too (yes, that's how they spelled it for the sequel) did still focus on the babies, with the return to the Falopian tubes for this movie's credits foreshadowing the introduction of Mikey's little sister, voiced over by Roseanne Barr. However the second sequel, Look Who's Talking Now, changed the voiced over character to the family's new dogs, voiced by Danny Devito and Diane Keaton. As to getting Bruce Willis to do this, when they made this it was very much in Willis' wheelhouse. He was a comedian until Die Hard made him an action star, and this would have been filmed before Die Hard came out.
Bruce Willis voicing the child reminded me he had a cartoon series in the late 90s/early 2000s called Bruno the Kid. He voiced the lead and also did the music, perhaps the less said about his singing the better

I STILL say this all the time!
"Could be lunchmeat. Could be peaches. Who knows? The point is this..."
RIP Kirsty Alley. She was also Lt. Saavik in Star Trek II The Wrath Of Khan. She was going to reprise the role in Star Trek III but got pregnant and had to drop out. Robin Curtis played Saavik in Star Trek III and IV.
Alley was also in the hit sitcom CHEERS which ran from
1982-1993.
Quite a few people from this movie are gone now. George Segal, Olympia Dukakis, Abe Vigoda...
Kirstie was so infatuated with Leonard Nimoy that she sent him a photo of herself wearing nothing but Saavik's ears.
RIP.
Love that series
Yes! Glad you mentioned this, love that miniseries!
I just watched it recently, even the second one that wasn’t as good.
Abe Vagoda (grandpa) was such a great actor.
I can’t believe that Ashleigh missed the in-credit scene, which is funny and memorable!
Lol. I just commented that she should’ve watched it. One of my favorite scenes in the movie. 😄
Dr. Spock was a really well known author of parenting books back in the day. Mr Spock was the Vulcan in Star Trek.
...speaking of Kirsty Alley
ASH saw a copy of the book (ihe instruction manual) when she watched "Raising Arizona"
Also kind of a reference because Kirsty was in a Star Trek movie and specifically was kind of Spock's side kick in it
Look Who's Talking too is definitely worth the watch, especially with Roseanne playing the sister.
You mean voicing her.
When Ashleigh said she never made a long distance phone call I died laughing!
Same
😆😆 Me too. I'm sure she makes them all the time now adays.
She's made LD calls but never had to pay for so she doesn't realize it. I remember having MCI in order to be able to afford my LD calls.
It's funny, because she's right, but also wrong at the same time. I mean long distance calls were only classified as such because of extra cost. Now that we use cellphones that don't charge for it, we really don't even classify them that way. It's just a call.
@@mortimerbrewster3671 wasn't MCI the one with Candice Bergin the commercials?
Drop Dead Gorgeous is hilarious, so funny I have some sound bites from it on my computer.
Hank - "I know who da winner is, I know who da winner is, Harold! I know who da winner is!"
Hank - "Help Hank! Help Hank! Help, help, help!"
Hank - "Are we on Cops? Are we on Cops? Are we on Cops Harold? Are we on Cops?"
Cameraman - "Fucking beauty queens blowing chunks everywhere. I've, I've never seen anything like it before...and I live in LA."
Loreta - "Oh, are we on Cops again?"
I think you'd like For Richer or Poorer more. It stars Kirstie Alley and Tim Allen, very underrated film.
And I used to love Tim Allen on Home improvement.
Loved this movie!
This would be a good one for her to see her...or even Summer School
Agreed. For Richer or Poorer is hilarious. Summer School is cute too.
That is one of the funniest movies I'd ever seen!
As a new parent, I can tell you why... If it kept you quiet, the movie was fine 😂
Yess For Richer or Poorer, I second this! I love that movie lol
No seriously. It is still a favorite of mine... but as an adult... it was so inappropriate.
She was also in a comedy called Summer School with Mark Harmon. Really funny movie
Other fun Kirstie Alley movies: Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn (one of her first jobs), Summer School

Another really awesome Kirstie Alley movie is For Richer or Poorer, she stars in it with Tim Allen and it’s hilarious, I highly recommend!
I love that movie
Don't forget runaway - Tom Selleck, Cynthia rhodes, Gene Simmons (yes from kiss) and kirstie alley
And also the 1995 remake of 'Village of the damned.' co-starring the late Christopher Reeve in a non-Superman role.

YESSSSSS
"Am I Beth?" That was the most perfect moment in one of your videos!
This movie was directed by Amy Heckerling who also directed the movies Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Johnny Dangerously, and Clueless
Other George Segal films you might consider:
_The Hot Rock_ (1972) a heist comedy, also starring Robert Redford.
The Duchess and the Dirtwater Fox!!
Carbon Copy (also Denzel Washington's first film)
I still like him best in "Stick".
Rollercoaster. Love those epic seventies disaster flicks. It has a very young Helen Hunt.
Russian Roulette
Saturday Night Fever - YESSSSSSS!
The movies themselves ranged from cheesy to forgettable, but his performance was always top notch.
i have come to hate this reactor. she is as dumb as a bag of hammers
i have come to hate this reactor. she is as dumb as a bag of hammers
yep. I didn't remember that and looked it up and yet right!
I know I had a lot of questions for my dad lol
we watched this when i was 11 and my sisters were younger. So i found my parents' reaction hilarious, and my sisters had no idea
My school had us watch this movie as part of Sex Ed
I'm a 90s kid and that opening scene went right over my head
I was around... I think 9 or 10 when I saw this and I kinda already knew the basics, so it really didn't bother me.
That's partly why she made "Fat Actress"
Dr. Benjamin Spock was a pediatrician and early childhood development specialist, he wrote basically the most influential book on baby and child care.
Gotta watch the second one dawg
🤣
Funny you say that, because Andy Serkis when seeing the final design for Gollum (after they redesigned him to look more like Serkis and match the performance better) was that it looked like a cross between his dad and his newborn son.
OMG, better get ready for Secondhand Lions!!!!! Going to be an emotional roller coaster
“It Takes Two” it another AMAZING movie!
I also haven’t watched this movie in FOREVER!
25:10 -ish dunno about *you*, Ashleigh, but *I* was immaculately conceived! LOL
It's also one of the reasons John Travolta has a dance scene in almost all of his movies.
Holy crap... I never put those two things together. I love JT, and I love that song, but never realized the joke!
Travolta and Alley had great chemistry. They almost ended up together in real life, but he was married at the time, LOL.
Drop Dead Gorgeous is a hidden gem. Please give it a chance.
Did anyone tell her she needed to watch that end sequence with the egg and fallopians that were grossing her out. BIG EASTER EGG.
In my opinion, Kristi Alley's best work was in The Last Don and the sequel. It was a Mini Series about a Mafia family with a dark secret and she played the daughter of The Don. Her range of acting was just so emotional and heartfelt. Highly Highly Highly recommend!
Growing up, some kids had a crush on Farrah Fawcett, others on Cindy Crawford. Me, i had a mega crush on Kirstie Alley from these movies

Kirstie Alley and John Travolta, I believe, both admitted they were very attracted to each other while making the movie, but they never acted on it.

Kirstie Alley was in a movie called Madhouse, 1990. I think you will enjoy it!
They turned Look Who's Talking into a tv sitcom. It was called Baby Talk. George Clooney was in it. He wanted out after the first season. It was one of the very first shows Phil Rosenthal worked on, the creator of Everybody Loves Raymond.
I remember I watched that show, and even at nine or ten years old, or whatever I was, I could tell it was bad.
Had no idea George Clooney was in it. 😂
Look whos talking now you may like. The dog gets a voice over instead of a baby. The kids are older
Awesome reaction, love this movie so much. I always love watching Kirstie alley in the TV show cheers, she was so freaking hilarious.
