Good video , I’ll stick with my 15 weeks holiday a year around the world, but I do love the Canary Islands
Glad you enjoyed it!
So interesting and informative 👍

Glad you enjoyed it
Yes Dave, we have been waiting for this one 👌 keep up the good work sir. don't let the buggers get you down 😜
Thanks 👍hope it is helpful
Interesting video. I noticed Albania for example does a similar scheme when the income is 10K a year and not 27K very similar schemes across Europe which is interesting.
Splendid info. Sadly my/our pensions wouldn't be enough. We'll have to be satisfied with a couple of weeks. Cheers Peter
Great information Lydia give dave no way could you think about moving over there ❤❤
Maybe one day!
Playa dorada is my favorite
That was a very informative video Dave and and great to know if ever won the euro millions 👍
You are free Pat you can do what you want with an Irish passport
@MrTravelONWorld yes but cannot afford to buy a home there David 🤣
Nah, 90 days over the winter does me just fine, and, I get to keep the benefits of my stocks and shares ISA, 360,000 worth.
Thank you Lydia and Dave for bringing this up :) Although we’re from the EU and moving should be less of a problem, it’s still very good to know there’s enough knowledge out there that we could tap into 😊 We’ll definitely pop over with Lydia, once we make the jump ;) Didn’t know btw, that NIE’s were not necessary for EU citizens… Thanks for sharing!
No NIE needed for the first 90 days, after that you have obligation to register for residency! See you soon 😊
@@lanzarotelivingconsultancy2350 Thank you Lydia 🙏🏼😊 We did apply for an NIE back in the day and we’re glad we did, as you need it to buy anything like furniture and such. But for moving purposes, we’ll definitely pay you a visit the next time we’re on Lanzarote!
Thanks for sharing!
What can I say …….as an Irish person ✌️✌️✌️✌️great a video great info.
Glad you enjoyed it
Very informative. Don't think you even had to refer to your notes!
Glad it was helpful! I had a glance now and then ha ha
great vid good information regards from a cold dark wet cork
Glad it was helpful!
what a lovely lady with great info!!! Dave, its official, you've gone tight!!! This lady is definitely worth one of Mrs Travelons mugs!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
I agree!!! 😊
its on its way@@lanzarotelivingconsultancy2350
Ha ha I forgot to take one she will get one
Great video and interesting, I just wonder with the digital nomad visa, which I could potentially get, would reconcile with inter Schengen travel as it doesn’t apply across the Schengen zone just in individual member states under different conditions. More research needed I recon.
Good question! Maybe book a call with Lydia
My in-laws left PDC this afternoon, and today is the day the sun comes out. She wasn't happy. 😂😂😂. xx
Ha ha typical
The sad thing is I am from Northern Ireland and I have the right to apply for a Uk passport and an Irish passport I normally would do uk and i love the uk but now have no choice to apply for an Irish one because of the benefits of freedom in the eu
It’s a sad thing that you can get an Irish passport? Just listen to yourself, spoilt brat.
We intend to move over at somepoint in the next 10 years. Looks like brexit has caused a few problems
Yes complicated
Thanks for really interesting video. We would love to live over there for the winter, longer than 90 days. Is there a way around this? For example some form of dual nationality.
a visa
I moved to the Costa Blanca in 2007 ( before Brexit) and bought a house which I still have. We had a business but due to the credit crunch failed, so I had to return to the uk in 2010 to find work. I’ve only been back a few times.
As I already have a home there could I eventually get a digital nomad visa once the qualifying time was completed. I’m not quite old enough for a state pension but do have a couple of small company pensions which I live off.
Is it worth it?

Superb informative video. Oh what a complete mess BREXIT has become for everyone in the UK. If the vote was held today it would be 5 million in favour of remain just because all the old people who voted for it and never went to Europe from one year to the next have since died........!
Yes I stay clear of politics not worth the hassle
We are not looking to move to Lanzarote but, at the moment we spend our full 90 day allowance in Lanzarote during the winter. Is there a way that we can spend a longer period in Lanzarote say for say 4 or 5 months??
Visas
Visa
I lived in Lanzarote a few years ago and had my residency,.
Can I still use this same residency but just change addresses on it and not work ?
Not sure contact Lydia
Her accent is perfect although she's been there since birth. Weird. Great video by both btw. Thanks 👍👍
NLV... So if you sell a property in the UK for £250k leave it in the bank for 5 years using 50k for rent would that be the way around it 🤔
Ask Lydia mate no idea sorrey
As I understand it, as long as you can show you have pensions and savings totalling the required amount and get spanish health insurance you can get the NLV for a year. Then you can renew the visa showing the same requirements. After 5 years of having the NLV you can apply for a residency permit.
What if you are Irish and you're husband is English, how does that work?
Not sure
Lived in Cyprus for nearly 20 years before Brexit. And even then people still made mistakes.
Yes
There are no canaries in the Canary Islands.
The same is true for the Virgin Islands.
There are no canaries there either.
😂
Good advice Dave ask her to marry me so I can get out of this cold haha seriously though thanks to the good lady for the advice
Thanks!
If you voted for Brexit, you voted to end the right of free travel within the E.U. A democratic right.....yes! But, it has killed off many peoples dreams.
Why on earth would they make it so difficult for people wanting to move there and contribute to the economy?
They??? Brexit made it difficult…
So the EU are telling them what to do?
They are immigrants and they contribute nothing to the economy. They should stay in their own countries.
Like everything post-Brexit: It’s okay as long as you’re rich.
Nah, 90 days does me just fine over the winter, plus, i get to keep the benefits of £360,000 in my stocks and shares ISA.
Ha ha good plan
The Spanish have now stopped the golden visa!
Yes I head that
Brexit has killed my dream. No way I could afford this.
Things may change
Agreed thanks not Tory Cameron
Same here 😢
Darn you Brexit
Mine too.. I didn't think I would make it through winter, I had 5 packets of paracetamol to take. I cry all the time knowing that I'll be stuck in this cold shit hole forever 😢
Knows what she is talking about.
British are still European and always will be , we are just not in the European Union (EU), which is political, not geographical.
When it comes to immigration there’s EU citizens and other countries. UK is no longer able to apply for residency as EU citizens
@@lanzarotelivingconsultancy2350What he was saying is correct. Brits are still European. The UK is still in Europe. Despite the new rules after Brexit that hasn’t changed. It’s incorrect to refer to UK citizens as non-European, that was annoying.
@@agadoin exactly. If British are "non European" then what exactly are we??
Thank god for Irish passports ;-)
Yes indeed!
Why do you say "Spain and the Canary Islands"? Nobody says "the USA and Hawaii",
Canary Islands, comunidad autónoma (autonomous community) of Spain, consisting of an archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean, the nearest island being 67 miles (108 km) off the northwest African mainland.
Because a lot of people don’t realise that Canary Islands is part of Spain, and same rules apply!!
