Good morning Joey. I was catching up with my bees yesterday, crowded hives, swarm cells and failed splits...all better now, at least to the point where the bees will correct my meddling. Thought I was going to pull honey the day before yesterday, but the bees had other plans. We had some cool rainy weather and the supers I wanted to pull were clean of the uncapped honey and in it's place was packed with capped brood, my, my. Thanks for sharing, take care, Brice
To get the bees out of the water meter lid with all those crevices, I put down a white sheet/cardboard and just thump it down... knocks most of the bees off and easy to vac up from there! Nice video.
Every time I get a water meter it was opened by a city worker then dropped. Half the comb winds up laying in the bottom of the meter box. Nice little bunch
Thank you for taking the time to share Joey.
Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing Joey!! Good catch!!
Thank you.

I have had that same thing happen this year. All that room in the box and they want to get in the top box. Thanks for watching.

I have a sheet just for times like this but it was in the shed at home. LOL Thanks for watching.
Lucky to catch that queen before she ran up into the deep rim of that box! Good job!
Yeah that would have been almost impossible. Thanks.
It hurts when you mash one and they sting you. I found a smaller attachment to make it easier to get them out of those small crevices. Nice job Joey!
Yes it does. I still haven't got that smaller attachment out of the old homemade bee vac. lol
That looked like a fun cutout.... Quick and easy, and back to the house!
Yes it was. The only thing that got me was thinking I had the queen in the camera shot. Thanks for watching.
Textbook!!
Thank you.

You would think they would see the bees all over it. LOL! Thanks
👋 Joey.👍Nice little bunch O bees.
Thanks for watching.
I've done a few of these, I work for the water department, there's a lot of places the queen can hide in those meters.
Yes she can make it almost impossible to find in those boxes.
Isn’t that attachment way too narrow????
Not really. It actually came with the Everything Bee Vac.
Honey bandit would get those bees to leave that cover. You are a brave man to do that without a suit. I'll bet you got stung 4 or 5 times.
I would have to spray it on the bees. I only got stung once and that is when I mashed her with my hand.
👍
Thanks.
Nice easy queen catch but why didn't you release her right away?
I wanted to keep here locked up for a day to help the bees get settled in to their new home.
Great video!
Thank you.
I thought you got queen why didn’t u put in a nuc wouldn’t they go in with the queen on top instead of vacuuming cheers
They might have but there is no telling how long that would have taken. I just vac them up and go.
What a big job oh boy
Almost too easy.
First!!!!
Yep
