Aw everything she did for you was so cute!! We had our big little week a few weeks ago and it was so amazing everyone was so happy so I'm glad you are too! I still haven't taken down most of the decorations my big put up for me lol

I just wanted to say thank you for recommending curology, my acne wasn't terrible enough for me to go to a dermatologist, but, like you, it made me insecure that I constantly had a few blemishes as well as past acne scars. I've been using it for about 3 weeks and my skin is clearing up! It was also because of them that I stopped using a product that I believe contributed to my breakouts, I never would have known otherwise! I know people can be mean about product sponsorships, so I just wanted to weigh in and say that its working for me and I am thankful for the recommendation

I'm vegan and I don't eat honey. If you don't think of bees as animals, avoid honey because of the environmental effects - if honeybees go extinct, so will mankind.

Hey Hattie, I'm in a sorority at a different campus! I can attempt to answer your question! So in my chapter we have dues and they're at the beginning of each semester and they cover things like the budgets that each chair has, things for the house, PHC and National dues. We fundraise a lot too! I've heard a lot of people say things like "you pay for your friends" and honestly if thats the case I don't pay nearly enough! I know that wasn't much information but it really depends on your chapter and the university you attend. I've also heard that southern chapters have higher dues, I go to school in the midwest!

I pay $100 a month, give or take a few dollars. It really depends on what school you go to and whether or not they have a sorority house.

Can someone explain to me the whole big little relationship and why it exists??
From what I've seen it's basically just a buddy system. The 'big' is the girl that's been there for a year or two before you, and so she takes care of her 'little', gives her advice and overall just acts like a big sister.

do you have to take a test?? to know how well you know the sorority or greek life in general? PS: im thinking of rushing alpha phi next year
Most chapters make you take a test before initiation, but usually you do online courses to learn about what will be on it beforehand so it's not too hard. I'm not in APhi though so I'm not sure exactly what they do.
Luchi Bucci my chapter of kappa delta has a new member program where you learn about your sorority, you take a test before initiation. You can keep taking it until you pass.

When you decorate the rooms like that, it is considered hazing... I know it's all for fun! Maybe just be extra careful with what all you share. If my University's Greek Council saw something like that, you would be in trouble.
Hey, I was wondering why? I know like my chapter considers paddles hazing and we're not aloud to have scavenger hunts and stuff like that. Maybe it's just your university? We can decorate and stuff like that and it's not hazing..
Aubrey Denise When I was pledging, I saw a room get damaged from glitter and writing on the door. Yes, it was streamers and toilet paper. But it's still hazing, because it was in her room. It wasn't anything major, no one was hurt. My sorority only decorated the doors. All the sororities came together for a big meeting. We were told what we could and couldn't do. Even when we advertised Bid Parties and chalked on the side walk. Some groups followed the rules, others did not. GLB is excited! And I'm happy she went Greek. She should just be extra careful. You never know, who is watching and could try and turn this or something she says in. You just don't know. This is a scary world.
Not all Unis have the same rules... is door/room decorating considered hazing by the NPC?
