    Sir i think it is not the back emf. The main reason is "impedance". Impedance is like a load which can be seen by inductor loads(like transformer or motor)when they ar connected to AC power supply. Impedance only can be seen in ac current not in dc because for DC impedance of a inductor is zero. The main reason we use soft starter is to slowly charge the big heavy supply capacitors,because they consume a lot of inrush current. Hope this information is useful. And it is also a Nice video 👍❤️

      capacitor is not the main reason, transformer core saturation / delay in ac impedance generation is the main reason.
      in other words, back emf isn't too wrong. 😑

    Dear friend any electrical or mechanical equipment will have in rush current( in mechanical it's something else) even nion lamp will have in rush current. After stability the current will be much less. FYI PL. ITS NOT THAT SMALL MOTORS DONOT HAVE IN RUSH CURRENT. EVEN a 0 .1 hp motor will have. Accordingly we have to use switch gear. Pure resistive load will also take higher current. Normal 100w bulb , heaters pl check. No way we can escape from starting load if you want 100 percent of efficiency right from beginning.

      you can use 12v relay with 12v transformer and 12 v regulator. for speaker click sound you can use dc protection and delay on ckt for speaker.

    sir according to the diagram i build it and it is working ( I did not connect to the transformer. ) but wanted to check whether it is OK, and it is ok. but one problem is that is 220 ohms 2 watt why it is getting hot. ( before connecting to the transformer ) after connecting to the transformer the output secondary reading is showing correctly 24 0 24 but 220 ohms is becoming hot pls help

      aprox. 70ma is flowing through ckt. around 1.1w power across resistor. so it is normal.

      Aapne sahi kaha ki relay bhi inductive load hai lekin dc dene se kyo nahi jalti?
      Kyoki relay me bahut hi patli wire se winding hoti hai is liye usme winding resistance add ho jata hai, dc voltage dene se winding resistance ke karan current limit me rahta hai aur winding nahi jalti. Agar aap us relay ko 80v ac volt denge to bhi nahi jalegi, lekin dc 80v dene.se coil jal jayegi.
