The action card can also work on draws. You can pick a color on the +4 wild and if there is a +2 of the same color on the person after, they can play it and make the next person draw. We play as saying no uno as soon as the uno person puts down the card, which makes it harder to win. Finally we have the 2 for your mistake option. Playing with these rules makes the game harder and more interesting.
This is how I always used to play with my group of friends. Makes the game more high stakes and longer. Whenever I play straight from instructions it feels too slow

Idk if other people play uno like this but to make it more interesting me and my friends use the rule that if someone throws a draw 2/draw 4 to you you can add your draw card/cards until someone doesn't have one and you have to ass it up and they have to draw all the cards it makes it really funny and I think it would be funny if they play with that rule too just a suggestion

On the other hand, if the person has only one card and shouted "Uno!", nobody has to interfere with that person's card. It means that person is done with the game. Correct me if I'm wrong but trust me, I've played this game so many times.
