#1 mistake in SoloQ...team pings "launch attack" so you get ready for team fight, but your team immediately retreats so you get squashed.
It's always the opposote, 90% of my defeats are caused by my teammates forcing a war in the worst time possible (e.g when there is lord) or when our team is already losing even though I spammed retreat. I swear these people don't know how to play safe

My win rate has decreased on grandmaster 2 and one 50 games spend on only grandmaster 1 and then drop winrate 80% to 62%
Reach 1500 power on vexana and alpha 51 games on vexana 58.8% alpha 35. 68.6%

The annoying thing about it is that no matter how bad you are at the game you shouldnt be 0-7 after 6 minutes. Yet players still somehow find a way when theyve supposedly played thousands of matches.

Solo queue doesn't exist in mlbb. I get duos often and sometimes I get trios. It's just a luck that decides who's trio is better. I can do nothing. They should add a separate solo q
Sometimes you get queued with people that know each other and get paired randomly.

I think IMHO, the climb from epic is drastically different in the beginning of the season.
In most seasons, I rank up in the middle of it, and able to reach honor with 60+ wr. But this season, when I tried pushing from Day1 as a solo q, I reached legend with 55%.
It could be possible that it is because I'm playing support this season (Mathilda).
I think early season climb is heavily luck based because if you get matched with hardstuck legend players, or even those who barely made it out of their mythic placements, now in epic, against a decent team, it is an auto loss. Mid season is easier because most of the good players are already in mythic or high legend and you can stomp on those players still stuck in low elo

Early season is always going to be harder, just because you get matched against capable players who have yet to get into the higher ranks where they belong.
Even though they do start placement at a higher rank than most other players, the fact remains there will be some who start the season late.
Yeah I ranked to legend in a couple hours last season on the first day. I had only been playing maybe a month. I'm waiting a bit this time before I play ranked lol

A good video suggestion from me would be to analyze pro matches from mpl or M series to help us understand their decisions in picks/bans, strategies, positionings, their builds and setups etc

Trash will always be trash, if they themselves do not want to improve, everything else is meaningless.
It's not fair.. Sometimes you still get queued with trio and duo while you're in solo. As long as they don't make the matchmaking pure solo like chall in lol it's not gonna be fair no matter what.
I don’t care about the duos, the problem is that if you are good, you get matched with the worse players for ‘balance’. Like being good is a crime or something.

Niko, i love your channel. I would be really interested in 5 man content. I think a good name would be, "So, you really want to be a pro?" It could cover all the little things. For example, how to target the big minion so you clear you lane faster and which heroes this is important for. Bans and counter bans and specific bans for heroes. Picks and counter picks. Who you should last pick and first pick. Moba Zane changes his controls per hero. Which hero uses which controls and why. So it could be some important details the pros do, then a 5 man game play related to the lesson. Last season I reached 70 stars. I would love to have a larger player base at the higher ranks. A side note about match making, the enemy team often has 3 or 4 mythical immortals and 1 or 2 glories and I'm the only glory on our team with legends and an honor. NA server. If people understand the nuances and team strategies, maybe the quantity and quality of players will improve at the higher ranks.
Hope to see some videos where u show your lost matches. It can help us to see how wrong decisions that will affect the outcome of the game on the whole

A interesting idea for the gameplay channel I have is to do the random hero or Google chooses my heroes challenges u can do for a new series
Just for a reference on the unity changes a couple of years ago( I think in 2019) moontoon was making an average 12 cents per person in the NA region which at the time was the region were they made the most money per person.

My personal experience of solo queue:
It is not JUST about one's micro and macro, rather, a comprehensive test of mentality; consistency; one's skills; as well as a tiny bit of luck.
Don't expect to win all your matches, some you are destined to lose. However, never give up, giving up means that you are intentionally dropping your winrate, and the whole point of solo queue is to win more games than lost, or maintain equal winrate to benefit from star-rising/star-protection.
TL;DR: Consistency is key.
Luck plays a huge factor. At the end it's a 5v5, and if your team is falling behind, all those skills and mentality won't matter. At all. If you spend your entire day playing ranked, then your patience and consistency will come in useful of course. But most people don't have that much time to play on a mobile game. It's ALL luck that determines if you win or not, at least for most Solo queue players.

Was on 13 win streak last season and all of suddenly matchmaking up with 2 mm or mage..No mm or mage team,no tank or jg .Dragged me down to legend 3-4 from Mythic.
.Worse thing is they cant adjust.

You can also start a series where you a play a hero which you havent played or youre not good with it
As for future direction of the channel it would be good if you did something similar to general where you have a pro player come onto the channel and talk us through 1 gameplay
Solo queue is still a nightmare. Got to 140ish stars and at no point was i not worried about my team just throwing either the draft or the game.
But trio or duo needs to match up with 2 or 3 other players right.
Day 1 of asking would you consider adding letters/symbols for heroes difficulty on the tier list? As a colorblind person I have a very hard time telling them apart.

12:27 note that war axe should NOT or is not advisable to be built on heroes with their main role as Marksmen, Supports, or Mages as the effects of its wonderful passive are halved.
Tbh I think the only marksman than can actually use waraxe efficiently is popol rn
With the adjustments he got for jungling, waraxe might just help him and he can keep its stacks up fairly well

Try to play every hero in a different role, than the actual role the hero was meant to play, with different built.
Ex- Matilda as assassin, saber, Hayabusa and fanny as tank(not assassin roam),
I know it sounds like trolling, but hey it's gonna be a challenge and fun to watch
Instead of DUO/TRIO/5MAN strats, you can make a guide on synergies.
On how to draft better even on SOLO QUEUE.
I see a lot of games where support mains would force their ESTES even if the line up doesnt even have a front liner or players picking lots of assassin even when the team already got an ESTES.
Another example is teammates picking SOLO TARGET when the team already have AOE tank setters.
Or a SELENA MID when the team lacks wave clear.
Of course you can also discuss COUNTER PICKS, if they cant synergize with the team, at least counterpick the enemy line up.
how to counter pick, please tell us your reasoning for a pick at hero selection and game plan, thank you and heart heart!
I think Moonton should have stricter Reporting system especially in Rank..... They need to have bigger punishment for Poor performance etc...
To be fair, it is hard to monitor all reports since a lot of games are played each day.

Hey Nico, I know its sort of out of your way, but can you make a video on zhask's bugs? as listed:
Summarised: Zhask's spawn counts as both a creep and hero unit at the same time and the wall hitboxes suck. (I noticed that the damage problems seem to affect all summoned units, but neither sun nor vex seem as badly affected as Zhask, but please correct me if I'm wrong), in some situations his ult basically just immediately runs out and for some people, on low graphic settings his second skill indicator is invisible. FIX ZHASK.
Can we get a zhask bug fix? His spawn takes full damage from both retribution and dhs (which makes helcurt one shot my ult or me and my passive, and it takes two instances of damage from cursed helmet, one normal and one 350%),
he can't ult in minsi's anti-dash field under any circumstance, even when its an on the spot morph,
the wall's hitboxes are just broken(I often clearly teleport over a wall and stay on the same side),
if you activate his ultimate but subsequently die before morphing, the ultimate goes on cooldown despite the fact that it hasn't really been cast (I think most of us would love i-frames during the morphing phase- between triggering and being in it),
when you leave the ult before it ends, and reposition it when its at its despawn range, the animation plays but no ult spawns. Furthermore, casting ult again after this causes its duration to drop to essentially zero and immediately end upon casting, WHICH SURELY COUNTS AS GAME BREAKING, so in conclusion: please help bring awareness about zhask's bugs because the help service doesn't work unless we all spam it I'd presume or someone makes a video.
23:17 I think Aurora needs a massive buff too. I've never seen her in a match (And I am playing this game since 2020).
Hopefully she'll come on the next update. They're doing some revamps on her in the advance server. Fingers crossed.

I went from Epic I to Epic IV in a day because of the trash teammates I'm getting.
If you can't solo carry in epic then you deserve to be in epic
Play more and try to familiarize yourself with all the heroes. Choosing the right hero against your enemies and knowing their skills increases your chance of winning by a lot. Of course for epic players & below, the most important tip is to pay attention to the map and join team fights. Sometimes it's just not your teammates fault.

Once I got 25 kills in an epic match, my team lost. Let that sink in.
How about mastering one hero one month! And then you can make your own points about the cons and pros of the hero and also what team has the best synergy with that hero!

Yea, matchmaking can be rough. I typically win 1/2 games and then get stomped for 5 games on the trot.
As a Cecillon main I teamed up with a particularly good Carmilla and had way more success
nah role assignment thing is the worst that could happen..low wr players already pick jg , mm or mage roles too much, if this became a thing then the good players wrs will go down the drain because no matter how good the fighter player is even with 80%wr he will keep losing...the best thing abut mlbb is that we r free to choose..maybe thats why lol or even lol wr playerbase is way more toxic than ml...people need to be able to adjust to situations not just pick one and then die with it

Since it would practically be impossible for members of the ML Guide family to play with our sensei Nico because of lag issues due to people living in different countries. How about we find away for the members to play together. Obviously only members from the same country should do this, but in the the long run it could help members rank up by having a duo, trio, or 5 man and not having to rely on soloQ (unless you prefer soloQ)

My struggle as soloq duo trio or 5 man is, i had a hard time understanding others perspective and i also know that clearly i do improve with your video but surely i still struggle real hard i rarely meet people who understand how i think too am i wierd or others are wierd
Not weird but more of lack of communication cause everyone has their own strategy.
Although matchmaking still sucks, in ph server and as a solo/duo player, the recent patches made the matchmaking more dynamic I guess. Having teammates from other regions of the ph ('cause I can't understand a word they're saying) and lose streak was never more than 4 which unlike from the earlier versions where 9 lose streak is just another day as a tank/support user so yeah I think Moonton is doing something but it needs to be better.

One thing I want to point out is even tho ml matchmaking is based on we they don’t take into account the opponents previous rank so if u are in mythic and your teammates highest rank is mythic honor the opponent may have someone from mythical glory which is Abit unfair as they may have more experience and also good enough to be able to reach mythical glory

Moonton adding a Bot match after a losestreak is kind of a great way to replenish the adrenaline rush from winning games, who would want to play ML with a 7 losestreak anyways.. haha.. hah..
I am done pushing, at least for a while, i push rank for fun, but pushing in Epic is infuriating, especially if im using a late game damage heroes

solo ateleast u match with same rank.. last season i was pushing for immortal..while my team avg rank was mythic honor we matched against mythic immortals with 700 stars each

Tbh I would really love to watch a trio or 5man guides, what about doing polls and see if people will actually watch it? I would love to because not that I wanna be professional but it would be nice to have knowledge of 5man tactics and these stuff. It could even improve our solo q, and maybe just maybe be serious about having 5men friends and discuss these tactics together. I would share that video no doubt.

But I think many players keep complaining the reason for their low win rate is they are getting bad teammates all the time, (in most of the games you get different set of teammates). So it is not possible for anyone to get bad teammates always, the only common factor in all the games they lost is just them. ( One thing is that may explain this behavior is that people tend to remember their bad times more than good times)
I think you always get fair teammates but they are only good at some heroes but won't use them cuz of counters and play those heroes that they are only ok with or troll cuz they get angry easily(like if u ban there main cuz his/her main is strongest meta and enemy have first pick or u ban that hero he/she was planning to play but wasn't even showing like man show that hero if u wanna play that hero and also if u had to first pick and than enemy picks counters like man we are players not fortune tellers)

That's bullshit I've screenshot of MVP Lose Streak in Last season only my win rate was 65% in first 100 match while reaching 1000 match it dropped to 49%. .. i literally reached 49 stars and from there dropped all the way to 35 stars and after that never managed to cross 40 stars because of stupid teammates ...
1. Because of the ranking system having star raising and star protection points, people can get to Mythic below 50% wr under 200 matches (if you really want to you can spam 1000 matches a season to get MG below 50% wr). Ranking is not that sufficient to categorize the overall performance of players. It works more like a trophy only.
2. Winning streaks and losing streaks play one of the most major role in matchmaking as well as overall wr in both of the teams (season wr and overall wr).
3. Moonton’s final goal is to “make you play more games”, so don’t put much thoughts in matchmaking. 60% wr players want to win, and so does 48% wr players.

I think in terms of matchmaking one thing I would like MLBB to take into consideration are the roles for every player. I've had matchmakings in ranked games where nobody in my team (including myself) knew how to play as the jungler. Our main roles were support or mage. Hope they look into this cause it's a little frustrating 🤧. It would be great if you could make a guide for jungler role (not sure if you've made one), please? Thanks for your videos as always ML Guide!
Pretty much this. They should ask what 2 main roles you play, and then match you accordingly with other players. Just like how we can choose our 3 mains characters in ranked.

I think 5-man gameplay, or 5-man gameplay analysis is going to be very useful, but not because we can learn how to play SoloQ from that. Since 5-manning is going to be very, very different, we can instead benefit from learning about the DIFFERENCES in playing SoloQ vs 5-man. I say this because many players watch tournaments and try to pick the same heroes or play the same way.
A good example is picking/banning Mathilda because the pros did it, when majority of the time your team doesn't even know Guiding Wind exists.
Another not-so-obvious example is non-pro players (this includes players in high ranks) trying to use Chou the same way the pros do. THEORETICALLY, Chou is a god-tier ganker purely because of his ult, and it's pretty much 100% success rate if you gank with 1 other teammate. This happens very often in pro matches.
